Synopsis: Y/N and Harry are going through a rough patch in their marriage.

It started early October.

The late nights and the constant bickering over who's turn it was to make dinner. Neither of them were good at time keeping but they were both good at communication. However, the lack of communication was what got them here in the first place.

Harry was working at the moment but so was Y/N. It was an adjustment they both had to get use to as Y/N had been promoted and Harry had an album set to release in the coming months. They both knew things would get busy and even talked about it before it happened, promising each other that things would stay the same but they weren't.

Y/N was home after a long day at work. She worked at a media company and was promoted to head of socials. She wasn't in the mood to make dinner so texted Harry if he was alright with takeout only to have received no reply.

It was Friday night and Y/N didn't have to worry about waking up early tomorrow so she wanted to clear her mind of worries with Thai food and red wine.

She had taken a bath and gotten into her pyjamas as she waited for the food to arrive. She had also checked her phone multiple times after receiving no reply from Harry and she couldn't lie, she was worried.

Friday's were always the days where they would spend evenings together and wind down after a long week of working but over the previous few weeks, they had barely seen each other.

It wasn't until the thai food had arrived and she'd gotten through the entire first season of Peaky Blinders where she started to get a little worried as to where Harry was. She dialed his number over and over again and looked at the clock to see it was midnight.

If it were any other day of the week she'd be fine but it was Fridays that were their day and he'd never been this late before after working at the studio.

Three hours had passed and Y/N was walking around the apartment like a mad woman. She was so tired and just wanted to sleep after a long week but she couldn't if Harry wasn't home.

Dialing her phone one last time, she listened as the phone continued to ring. "C'mon Haz." She muttered, biting her fingernails.

Suddenly, the door opens and in stumbles a tired looking Harry with glassy, red eyes and a lazy smile on his face. Y/N stands with an angry look on her face, arms crossed and not in the mood. "Heyyyy baby!" Harry cheers, stumbling over to her.

"Harry, what are you doing?" Is the first thing she says because there's not anything she can say that won't end up with the two of them fighting. That's all it's really been these past few weeks, the pair of them fighting.

"I was at the studio, you know that." He says, falling onto the couch.

"You're drunk." Y/N states, it was obvious to anyone but she didn't know if it was clear for him.

"I just needed a break." Harry mumbles, his head falling back against the head rest and his eyes closing.

"A break? A break from what?" Y/N feels her eyes pinch but she tries not to let it break her angry stance in the situation.

"Y/N," Harry huffs, his eyes opening revealing the whites of his eyes that were now a bright red. "just go to bed, I don't even know why you're awake."

Y/N used his words to channel her anger because she was so tired and he was being so mean, "I was waiting for you you asshole!"

Harry's eyes widened and from the loudness of her voice, it felt as if he had sobered up. "You want to do this now?"
