It's been a week and February is already approaching. The weather's fair enough for everyone to play outside and as soon as school ends, me and my friends would be seen playing outside.

Since it's Saturday, it's a perfect day for us to go out and have fun, I mean we always hang out in different places, sometimes we would go and eat in a diner place my friend knew or maybe just hang out in our house, the place doesn't matter.

I already took a shower and scrub my body with a rock to get rid of dead skins and then wore a sando and maong pants before going downstairs.

"Ate! Can you help me with my assignment?" Joshua came running over me as I was about to head down.

This brat- I look at my mother and saw her glaring daggers at me, as if she was daring for me to refuse my younger brother.

I wanted to say no but I know I'll be reprimanded if I did that so I say down on the couch and tutored him about elementary english vocabularies. Besides, I bet with all my fortune that all of them would arrive in their own time, after all we practice filipino time.

Jerimie got down and placed bimbi on the floor and continued to stream on the net. I gave her the stink eye but she didn't even budge and continued to stream.

"Wow! Jerimie is sure a senorita in this house isn't she?" I know that I'm talking to the wind since Jerimie got her headphones on and Joshua was busy doing his assignment but I didn't care, all I know is to annoy this little sister of mine.

Hmph, I would have gladly turn a blind eye on you but not now, I'm going somewhere with my friends and I think this is your time to shine.

"Mom, Jerimie wants to teach Joshua, I'll be off now!"

I immediately ran off without looking back and handed the reading materials to Jerimie's lap and rush off to the door. Soon, I was already inside the Jeepney, sitting in the last seat before the driver ushered us to make space.

Unbelievable! I know that Jeepney drivers just wanted to make money to make meet ends but we're not a pile of little sardines who can fit in this small tin can!

Even so, I got shoved in the corner and can only shrink enough space for another passenger to sit on. It didn't take long for me to arrive on Evan's place, St. Monique and waited for others to arrive. Evan invited us to go to his place and play video games with him. I mean I do want to stay on my home to read but it's much better to stay in my friend's house and avoid getting reprimanded and ordered to by my mother.

"Any latest news?"

We settled down and decided to pay for the food to contribute for the expense while Evan arranged his room to accommodate the six of us since Hao can't come due to some household problems.

"You and Hanie will be in the prison booth this Valentine's day" Tintin replied smugly while the two stated person glared at her menacingly.

"I'll throw you and Willmark then!" Bool threatened while Tintin boisterously laughed at him.

"Try all you want, bish, I'll fight you till the end"

The feeling of being in constraint left and I was soon heaving in relief. I think I'm too sensitive when his name came up in our conversations but I know it wouldn't end, he was after our friend.

I'm torn between relief and ache, torn between the status of being a his  friend or his potential fling and torn between feeling angry and happy at our situation.

...

I received a text message from him asking me to come to one of his basketball game. I blinked my eyes and read it again, after seeing that the message isn't my imagination after all, I almost screech again.

This guy- how can he be so smooth! Then I think of all the girls that surrounded him and became crestfallen. Ha, my moods this past weeks has been experiencing a roller coaster ride and I couldn't even decide what to feel anymore. It's just... my feelings are all over the place.

"What are you looking at?"

I almost jump out in shock when I saw Jerimie just five steps away from me. In that point, I was panicking and it didn't help the fact that my sister is a blabber mouth.

"Just... I was just reading, why are you here and please don't sneak up on me again"

"Fine" she snorted and walk on her bedroom before I plopped down mine.

I look at my phone again and reread the message over and over, my head already hurts from all the thoughts that plagued my mind.

Should I wear a dress? If I come five minutes early would it mean that I'm too desperate? Should I just go for the casual look and what if his friends saw me? Is he making another step in our relationship? Would he court me after- ah! My head's about to burst in pain!

I immediately punch my pillow and rolled on my bed and repeated the action before someone threw a slipper on me. It hit my head and the pain doubled.

"Ate! What the hell are you doing?!" I heard Jerimie and stopped moving before standing up angrily.

"I'm going to kill you! That's what I'm doing!" I gritted my teeth and furiously fought with her.

Well, let's just say I win, I mean I would always win.

Notes:

• Filipinos use rocks to get rid of dead skin and yes, I just used it today hehe~
Sando, tagalog version of short sleeveless shirt.
Filipino time, if I told you that we should meet at 7 in the morning, it means we'll meet 8 in the morning. That's what filipino time is people! But I don't practice much of it just sometimes.
Senorita, it means a spoiled girl or a queen in the house. She won't clean nor cook and will always sit in her throne without doing anything for the rest of the day.
St. Monique Valais is another affordable housing in Rizal. This is already an existing project with total land development of 200 hectares.
