The sun was up in the air with it's majestic figure, the clouds scattering up above watching the common people mingling in the busy streets of pantok. The smell of barbecue together with the smell of smoke and cologne wafted into my nostrils as I weave through the trains of people walking in each direction. My uniform feels a bit constricting in my now slightly sweaty body as I stand towards Andok's store, my hand clutching the money as I waited for the person roasting the meat gave it to me.
Willmark is beside me with his motorcycle just a few steps away from the corner of the store.
You might be asking me, why the hell am I in a meat store? Well, this is the last day of our practice in graduation and all of us decided to have one last dinner together.
To say that we're nervous about our future is an understatement, I couldn't help but get cold feet whenever I think about my future and college is just one step behind from it. Besides, we would soon leave, we may meet each other in the streets, in the campus or watch them on our phones. As time goes by, we could be friends, acquitances or nothing but a familiar face in front of our classmates.
But today, we are family, we are that class who have cliques, that class which noise can easily overpower a party and a class that fought and win together.
"Thank you for buying!" I nodded at the seller and held Willmark's hand and hopped on to his motorcycle.
"I'll drive you back home today?" I heard Willmark saying and I nodded but then remember that he can't see it so I said yes. "I'll just wait on our classroom"
"No, you can come to our class" I heard his confirmation and decided to look back at the road.
This is the road that I've been traveling back and forth to for the past six years. It's funny that I really don't notice those little things back then, those familiar streets, the large piece of land where we used to do our practice and the vendors and stores that we sometimes bought food on. But today, everything become crystal clear, I could remember the memories that we've made in that tree, the sun glaring at us whenever we decided to do our practice outside and the sounds of laughter, anger and frustration that every little place we went to witness.
We reached the senior building and walked inside it, he went together with me and send me to my class. After that, he left and I placed the food I bought in the long table just inches away from the wall behind.
The grade11 students were just on their seats chatting with on another while we placed our food neatly atop of the wooden long table.
"Chukoy!" I heard Alex shouting at her younger brother, her brother is currently a grade12 student, occupying the same classroom as us.
"This is the food for later okay? Guard it closely!" I laughed seeing her brother, he looks older than her plus his friends look like the troublesome ones.
The rest of my classmates already left and is already inside the court, the class president is the only one left here saying orders towards the g11 students.
"Let's go jamie!" Ange called me over and I held her hand and the rest of us left the classroom.
The rest of us got downstairs and arrived at the court before we did the usual procedures and marched forward. Each of our sight was on the stage, each clapping our hands to people we bring knew and don't.
