: the days from Monday through Friday when people usually work°°°
Years turned to months as months turned to weeks and before I knew it, there's only a short amount of days left before we leave this familiar building that we've spent our best years of.You think that after graduating high school, you'll get into college and never experience that youthful and vigor that none could ever replicate but we were given a chance. A chance to extend our days filled with nothing but exhilarating moments as well as experience new things once more.
In the future, we would think about our teenage years, those changes that had manifested in our body and matured in time, those rebellious phases that we encountered along with the new environment and people that we've met and lastly, we'll reminisce every relationship that we had made in the past years.
To think that a single event will end our relationship together seems like a far fetched thought. Time could be a bit cruel at times, especially to hot blooded youths whose temperament and character are yet to be honed.
I knew that change was inevitable and that every story has an ending, our memories of one another would be forgotten, that feeling of pain and happiness would be replaced by a new one, much stronger than before and we would reach that pinnacle soon enough.
Someday in the near future, we could meet as strangers, friends or acquaintances. Our selves have already been molded into something else but there's still that trait that makes us, us. We could be teachers, doctors, nurses, policeman, business man or doing something crazy or being a tambay.
We would remember our teenage self then compare it to our present one, similarities and differences would be dissected upon one sight but one things for sure, we would meet again.
And who knows? Maybe me and Willmark have finally married and have children already!
...
Me and our friends are currently waiting in line on junior high's ground, each of us either on their phones (as always) and chatting with the rest.
Then one of our male teacher in first semester came, he was that teacher who is cold to girls and not to guys. Tall, dark and handsome, a perfect description of him and guess what? Espe have a crush on him haha~ Sir. Lakas ng dating, our nickname for him.
"Espe~" Ange called for espe with a knowing grin on her face.
"Ate ange!" Espe is usually the shy type but she's not timid, she's like a cute cat hiding her claws under that furry cuteness.
"Ma'am! Can you call sir for us?" Kaye whose very close to our adviser asked making the rest of us laugh at Espe's horrified expression.
When it comes to your crush, never let your close friends know about him/her or else it'll be known to everyone you know why? Because your friends will make it so obvious for everyone to see that you have a crush on him/her.
"Sir!" We doubled in laughter when our adviser came trotting over Sir. Lakas ng dating and even called for him towards our line.
"Espe's blushing! Oh my gosh! Haha!" Jeline looked back at espe and to our surprise Espe was like a cooked shrimp hiding timidly on Ange's back.
"Espe ah! So that's your type" I teased her making her hide further away from me. "What about you Kaye?"
"I like my man big" she laughed at her own words.
After that fiasco, everyone lined up and the familiar graduation march once again rang from the stage. Students marched towards the court, towards our future and maybe, our friends and classmates that's have become our family will change after graduation.
We all sang the usual songs in graduation, walked and bowed on top of the stage and I even clapped my hands and shouted so loud when Willmark was announced as a part of the students with honors and he's part of high honor. Besides that, he also passed the NC II he just took a few days ago, mind you that test is very difficult and they also payed for almost two thousand.
Thankfully, Willmark passed and the principal announced it to everyone. I almost forgot, our principal decided to become a barber and cut off a piece of hair from the guys with long hair that does not pass the rules.
"Your boyfriend's a part of the high honor and even got a certificate, cool!" One of my friends said and I smiled, pride apparent in my eyes.
Well, almost every member of PABOY and our class have honors because of our adviser who evaluated and gave us high grades that pulled our ranks and make us a part of the high honors.
Later, my friends Bool, Hanie, Nudo, Enard as well as Willmark came to my house and they all spent the night here. I also made that time to celebrate Willmark's passing and ended up eating too much that made Willmark go out to buy medicine for me.
Well, I was just too excited for him so, yep.
Notes:
• Lakas ng dating means someone with a high appeal, his face is not just handsome but his overall personality and build and everything is charming. Someone whose cool and will make you turn your head.
• In the Filipino context, standby, istambay, or tambay is referred to a person who has nothing to do, or who is jobless or lazy – someone who does not make use of his/her time in sensible ways or on sensible things or does not make use of his/her time at all. In other words, a bystander.
• A National Certificate (NC) is issued when a candidate has demonstrated competence in all units of competency that comprised a Qualification.***
Fun fact: Yes, espe did have a crush on our teacher haha but it was just admiration and yes, Willmark did pass the NC II and is a part of the honors as well as PABOY.Anyways, this story is about to be finished and I just wanted to say thank you for those who stayed and read every chapter. Thank you so much!
