The journey to my home continued with a deafening silence, it was the opposite of bliss. If it was any other time, I would have love to be on the same space with him but now, I don't think my heart is ready for a confrontation. Before long, I stepped on the ground with a small bag on my back and tread on the narrow streets of pantok.
It was crowded with a lot of people, some are workers who get off work the same time our classes ended thus, the narrow street become more narrow than ever.
Some askals were also seen walking alongside the road, the small road was packed with stores and different establishments that further narrowed the area. The streets were brightly lighted up with the neon signs of every store, the lamp post that stands amidst the busy area and the moon hovering above with it's florescent like light.
I noticed that he didn't turn to the right way since after leaving the tricycle, we would have to separate since we live in separate areas. Mine's just a bit far from here to our house so I would always pay for another drive rather than to walk to a greater distance.
"Are you following me?" I bit my upper lip and wanted to smack myself right up on the back of my head.
Maybe I'm just thinking too much, I don't want to be branded as an ilusyonada to him and I doubt it'll make my chances of being his girlfriend more appealing.
"Yes I am"
I turned to his direction, it was so fast I felt like I got a stiff neck but it didn't matter, the fact that he admitted made me a bit apalled and somewhat happy.
Ugh! I thought you don't like him anymore! With just one sentence from him, you would surrender on your desires and act so foolish again!
"Hmph, go away! Why are you even following me?"
I feel like I'm acting coy with a mix of sulking, like I'm pouting and wanted to be appeased by my boyfriend which is a bit stupid and kinda making me want it.
Don't be like this Jamie! You have to stand on your decision, don't be swayed by his eyes- my goodness.
"Are you angry at me? I'm sorry if I did something wrong, you can tell me" then he gave me a heart stopping smile. His teeth are so white contrasting on his pink, plump lips that just makes me want to- stop!
I think I'm going crazy, maybe I'm reading a lot of r-18 Wattpad stories, I'm going crazy!
"Jamie?"
Stop saying my name! I feel like I'm becoming a puddle of shivering mess!
"Y-yes? No, I mean no, you didn't do anything wrong uh... I'm just... tired, yeah that's all"
"Really? Are you sure?" He asked once more as I nod my head so hard I feel like it'll fall off my neck.
I feel his eyes boring into mine, I wanted to snap at him yet at the same time, relish on the fact that his sight was on me and not to others.
I didn't even knew that I was already half way on my home when I notice a very familiar figure in fact I even wanted to run away from her.
Next thing I knew, I was being called by none other than my mother in the middle of the street.
"Mom, let me take that... let's go now huh?" I was about to take the groceries on her hand when an arm passed on my eyes and took it away.
I faced my mother and I can instantly see the look of inquiry in her eyes, then it lit up the moment she notice me looking at her then smirked at me.
"Oh... what a good young man... thank you for the help" she looks at him, her eyes are filled with appreciation and that made me feel proud.
Ha! Your daughter's type of guy is just top tier, I wouldn't settle for less and definitely won't pass on guys who are kind and helpful.
"It's no bother, oh, I'm Jamie's classmate and I was just making sure she's home safely" then he smiled charmingly with his pearly whites making him more approachable and cute.
"Oh! You don't have to worry about my daughter! She's a feisty one, I bet men would run for the hills the moment she opened her lips" she laughed softly, it made me look at her wide eye.
I knew it, it's not just me or any infatuated girls acts like a different person when it comes to handsome guys, mothers too.
"So, you're my daughter's classmate then, right?"
"Yes I am" he said politely which made me want to laugh, he looked at me and I instantly avoided my eyes.
We were already waking towards our street, just a few steps more and we'll reach our home. Now I kinda wish time would stop, with just Willmark and me walking on the street but of course there's a third wheel which is my loving mother.
"So? How's my daughter in school?" She suddenly asked making me look in both apprehension and anticipation.
"She's... she's a really fun and out going person. She's active in everthing, she loves to make sure that everything is organized and that she's prepared. She's always on her phone no doubt about that and... she's really a bundle of joy"
If I said that my heart didn't stop beating at three seconds then it would be a big fat lie. Every cell in my body came alive and I felt like I just received a hundred million in cash- no, more than that!
"I see" my mother replied and then winked at me before opening the door.
I didn't notice that we've reached the doors of my home and is still a bit emotional, my mom urged him to leave since it's already dark and told him to be safe.
I on the other hand can only mutter the words under my breath, my breath hitching the moment I graze my eyes on his own before leaving without a trace.
"You're so unfair"
