Let Me Be Enough (dracoxreader)

The book

I have spent every day in my dorm since I saw Pansy and Draco. I only go to class then come back right away. I ignore Draco, I sit in the back of the class and avoid his glares. There have been times where he tries to talk to me but I walk away faster and leave him. I haven't talked to anyone, I lost motivation, I feel heartbroken, I feel lied to.

Fred noticed me running to my dorm one day, he saw Draco running after me and calling my name and giving up then leaving.

There was a knock on my door and I opened it and he stared at my puffy and red eyes. He walked in and pulled me into a hug, I let the tears fall down once again as he held me close.

"What happened," He asked in a worried tone.

"P-Pansy and Malfoy, t-they kissed, I saw them kiss," I cried out. I could tell he was getting angry but he stayed with me. He convinced me to go to the great hall and eat since I haven't had a full meal in a while.

He held my pinky with his pinky as we walked to the Great Hall. Before walking in he saw Malfoy on the other side of the hall and saw he was staring. He pushed me to the wall and leaned in, "Freddie, what are you doing," I said looking at him confused.

"Don't worry I won't kiss you unless you tell me to, I'm just teaching Malfoy a lesson, he was staring at us, and from this angle, it looks like I'm kissing you," he said. My eyes widened and I busted out laughing. We walked into the Great Hall and I was in a way better mood, I did feel Malfoy's eyes burning the back of my head though.

We sat with the trio and Harry goes on explaining he found a book in the girl's restroom when Ron and he saw water coming from it.

"You guys have got to stop going into the girl's restroom," I said laughing causing both of them to blush.

He continued to explain how the book had no writing in it but it showed him something that happened 50 years ago. He said Hagrid had something to do with everything as if he had to be the one who caused all the muggle-borns to be attacked.

"Hagrid isn't capable of such thing, he comforted me when Draco insulted me," said Hermione.

"We should ask him straight out I think," said Ron. Neville comes running to Harry and tells him to follow him. We all stay there confused hoping nothing serious happened. The book Harry had found went missing since someone had looked through his things.

Later that day a quidditch game was supposed to go on, Gryffindor against Hufflepuff but Hufflepuff canceled as they didn't want to be attacked by Harry since some people thought he was the one behind the attacks since he spoke to the snake.

Professor McGonagall walked up to us, "You three would want to come with me." We looked at each other confused and walked with her.

We ended up in the hospital wing and saw Hermione there. She had been attacked, we ran to her bed and saw how she was.

We had new rules since everything was happening. We were only able to go to class and back to our dorms.

"Haven't they noticed Slytherin is the only house that is safe, It's coming from them," I heard Neville say. I looked and him shocked, "Neville, I'm a Slytherin, I have been helping Harry and Ron, this isn't coming from Slytherin, rather than a person who was in Slytherin 50 years ago," I hissed.

We had to talk to Hagrid at this point, we went and grabbed Harry's invisibility cloak and went off to Hagrid's. We were in there for a bit before the Minister of Magic came. We hid again and saw Hagrid get taken away, he gave us a few hints before leaving and now we at least had some clue as to what to do.

We saw Mr.Malfoy and Ron had to cover my mouth so I don't gasp. They took me back to my dorm as they thought I had enough for the night and they went to follow the spiders like how Hagrid had said to do. I was a few inches away from my dorm door before I heard someone whisper.

"y/n," I heard Draco say.

I froze for a second and said my password, I looked at him with tears in my eyes and walked in.

(Draco's Pov)

I saw y/n suddenly appear, "Y/n" I whispered. She acted strangely and, she looked at me and I could see tears in her eyes, she ignored me calling for her and walked right in.

We haven't talked in days, she avoids me and when I call for her she walks away faster, she doesn't sit with me anymore in class and neither does she sit with me for dinner.

I think about the time I saw her with Fred holding hands, I remember watching him push her to the wall and kiss her. She's moved on, I think to myself. I won't give up on her I think while looking at the ring she gave me.

"I won't let her go, I will have y/n back, I really like her ."
