The students cannot hear what the sorting hat says other than what house everyone is sorted in.

We began to exit the train to find a tall man outside.

"Right, then! First years! This way, please! Come on, now, don't be shy! Come on now, hurry up!" The man said.

Harry, Ron, and I followed the other first years towards the man in front of us.

"Hello, Harry," the man said.

"Hey, Hagrid," Harry said.

"You know him?" I asked.

"He's the one who took me my letter after my aunt and uncle tried to hide it from me" Harry said.

"Why would they hide it from you? Having magic is amazing" I asked.

"They think otherwise" Harry said.

Ron looked around in amazement as he saw boats.

"Whoaa!" Ron said.

"Right then, This way to the boats! Come on, now, follow me," Hagrid said.

We got into the boat and the longer we were in them the more we could see the castle.

"Hogwarts," I whispered to myself.

"The one place things can be different for me" I thought to myself as I smiled staring at the castle.

"It's better than I imagined" I said.

"Anything is better than where I was" Harry said.

"I second that" I said agreeing to our similar situations.

"It's way better than how Fred and George described it" Ron said.

"Exactly how many brothers do you have in the school Ron?" I asked.

"Three" Ron said.

"But in total there's seven of us, five older brothers, Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, and George, then me, then my sister Ginny" he said.

"Although she doesn't come until next year" Ron said.

"I'd love to have a sibling, reckon they'd take some of the punishments from my parents, although I don't think my parents ever wanted kids," I said.

"Anyways! I'm ready to get sorted," I said smiling as the boat got closer and closer to the boat house.

It was a good walk to the entrance but finally we were inside the castle. Waiting.

We were greeted by Professor McGonagall.

"Welcome to Hogwarts" she said.

"Now, in a few moments, you will pass through these doors and join your classmates, but before you can take your seats, you must be sorted into your houses" she said.

"They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin...now while you're here, your house will be like your family, your triumphs will earn you house points, any rule-breaking, and you will lose points, at the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup," she said.

"I hope each of you..." she said being interrupted by a large toad.

"Trevor!" A boy chasing after the frog said.

He grabs the toad quickly looking up at the professor before going back to where he was standing.

"...will be a credit to whichever house becomes yours, the sorting ceremony will begin momentarily," Professor McGonagall said before entering the doors in front of us.
