Tri-Wizard Champions

"Now the moment you've all been waiting for, the champions selection!" Dumbledore yelled across the room.

"The Durmstrang champion is ... Viktor Krum!" Dumbledore yells. The Durmstrang crowd cheers for Krum as he walks over to the champion room.

We watch as another name comes out, "The champion from Beauxbatons... Fleur Delacour," The rest of the girls cheer for her as she as well walks towards the champions room.

"The Hogwarts champion... Cedric Diggory." Dumbledore says, everyone cheers for him but I stare and realize he's the guy who was with Harry and everyone else at the Quidditch game.

I was deep into thought, I didn't notice when two more names came out of the Goblet.

"Harry Potter, Y/n Law" Dumbledore yells. Pansy pushes me breaking my thought as I realize what's happening. I look over at Harry and realize he doesn't know why our names were called.

Dumbledore starts screaming our names as both Harry and I get pushed by someone in our table. We walk into the champion room and the 3 previous champions looks at us.

Dumbledore comes in, "DID EITHER ONE OF YOU PUT YOUR NAME INTO THE GOBLET!?" He yells. I grab Harry's hand and we both shake our heads. We were both just as confused and didn't know what was going on. 

We can hear the commotion going on outside, "they're cheats, they aren't even seventeen yet!!" More and more of those comments started being said. I hug Harry and he senses the fear coming from me and hugs me back.

"The rules are absolute, the goblet of fire constitutes a binding magical contract. Mr Potter and Miss Law have no choice, they are as of tonight...tri-wizards champions," they say.

I looked at Harry who is terrified as much as I am. We left the room and walked to our dorms.

"Harry, we have each other now, I don't know how our names got into the goblet but we have each other, people are going to make comments, we need to try to ignore them," I said. He nodded and walks his way to his dorm.

As I was walking towards my dorm, I see Pansy, I look down and start walking faster.

"Look it's the cheater! I didn't know that just because you came from the Law family you could buy your way into this competition," she said. I glared at her and continued to walk.

"Draco will most definitely be mine now, you're gonna die either way," Pansy said. I stopped walking and looked back.

I put her at wand point, "Get near Draco and I'll make sure to kill you myself," I said and with that continued to walk.

I didn't see Draco but I hoped he understood what was going on.

(Harry's POV)

I walked into my dorm and see Ron, "How did you do it?" He asked.

I stay silent to show that I obviously didn't do it. "Never mind. Doesn't matter. You could have let your best friend know though." He said.

"I didn't ask for this to happen Ron, neither y/n or me know what happened, you're being stupid," I said.

"Yeah that's me, Ron Weasley... Harry Potter's stupid friend," Ron said going to bed.

(Y/n's POV)

The next day we're called to take a picture, I put on my robes and go with Harry. Once we were there the picture gets taken but Rita; the writer of the daily prophet, once to talk to everyone.

She goes for the youngest, Harry goes first then I do. She starts asking how we feel but doesn't take it into consideration, just makes up things.

Once the "interview" was over I go to find Draco. I look everywhere but can't seem to find him. Until I go down the staircase and see him.

I go to call him but stop when I see he's not alone. I hide and listen, "Come on Dracy, she's gonna die anyways," I watch Draco hesitate. Soon enough her lips were on his and her hands were touching every part of him.

I feel warm tears fall down my face as I run back up and head to the black lake. Everything was going horribly wrong, I didn't want to be in this stupid competition. Now my so called boyfriend was making out with pug face Pansy.

I scream as I can't hold it in, I let my tears fall. I can't do this I say to myself I can't. I stand up getting closer to the lake and feel a sense of calmness as I get closer and closer to the edge.

I'm a step away from letting everything go, I go to take the step when someone pulls my arm grabbing me so I don't fall. I get pulled into a hug and only cry even more.

"Y/n what were you about to do?" Fred asks. I only cry harder into his chest and he holds me tighter.

"I-I can't do this Fred, I didn't want this, Pansy and D-Draco were making out, my own boyfriend d-doesn't believe in me, why s-should I," I said.

Fred holds me as I tell him everything. "You'll get through this y/n, I'm here for you," he said. I look up to look at his face, he looks back with a sympathetic look. He slowly leans in and starts to kiss me.

He back off and nervously laughs, he rubs the back of his neck as he looks at mine. "Guess those marks were from the wrong person then," he says pointing at the hickeys. I cover them and look down realizing they were still there and were going to be a memory of Draco till they left.

Fred pulled me closer and held on to me. "It'll be okay, you're a great witch, you'll find a way to be successful with these challenges," he said.

"Promise me you won't die," Fred said as he took out his pinky. "I'll try not to die Fred," I said as I put out my pinky and grab ahold of his.
