Cutting ties

We'd been walking for a while now, all we do is sleep and walk over and over again.

"I'm hungry," Ron said. We all stop.

"We're all hungry," Harry says glaring at Ron. I watch at Hermione goes in to fix Ron's ragged bandage. "Leave it," Ron said.

Hermione starts looking in her bag after looking at Ron's bandages.

"Mum could make food appear out of thin air," Ron said. "No one can conjure food out of thin air, food is the first of the five principal exceptions to Gamps Law, the other four-," Hermione gets cut off.

"Oh speak English, can't you?" Ron said. I watch as Ron moves his arm away from Hermione again who now had new ones in her hand.

"I said leave it," Ron said. I grabbed the bandages from Hermione's hand and dragged Ron towards me.

"Listen here Ronald Bilius Weasley, you're going to stop being such a git and let me replace your bandages," I said.

I removed the old bandages and put the new ones on.

"It'll be dark soon, we need to find a place to sleep soon," Harry said. "Good plan," Hermione said.

"Yeah, brilliant, only correct me if I'm wrong...wasn't that yesterday's plan? And the day before that? And the day before that? Walk, sleep, walk, sleep," Ron said.

I watched as Harry stared at Ron and I immediately went to Ron's side and grabbed his not injured arm ready to pull him back if needed.

"My turn," Harry said reaching for the locket. Ron pushed his arm away before taking the locket off and giving it to him.

"Let me wear it, I haven't worn it," I said. "You have too much on your mind, your uncle, the twins, Draco, killing your father, it could all build up into anger, and you're the only one who has actually killed, we don't know how the locket could affect you," Hermione said in a worried tone.

Ron grabbed my hand and pulled me away from the locket. Harry puts the locket around his neck and we continue to walk.

Once we found a spot to rest for the night, we put the tent up and Harry goes out to cast the protection charm while Hermione takes a look at Ron's arm.

"He doesn't know what he's doing does he?" Ron said. "None of us do," Hermione replied.

"We won't know whether we are close to making this all end until we see you know who killed," I said.

We all rest and in the morning start to walk again. While walking Ron finds a toy, a wizards toy.

"Wizards are here," Ron said. "I don't like this place" Hermione said.

We turn to look at her and her worried expression, "I want to go," Hermione said. We all continue to walk when we find a new spot to stay in I go with Ron to check his arm.

"It's nearly healed," I said smiling. I walk to the table to see Harry getting his hair cut by Hermione.

"Oh my god..." Hermione said. "What!?" Harry said alarmed. "I'll tell you in a minute," Hermione said.

"Maybe you can tell me now," Harry said. As his hair was falling down Hermione starts talking.

"Alright, the sword of Gryffindor, it's goblin made," Hermione said. "Brilliant," Harry said.

"You don't understand, Dirt and rust have no effect on the blade, It only takes in that which makes it stronger," Hermione said.

Harry looks at her confused and so do I.

"Harry, you've already destroyed one Horcrux, right, Tom Riddle's diary in the Chamber of Secrets," Hermione said.

"With a Basilisk fang, If you tell me you've got one of those in that bloody beaded bag of yours," Harry said.

"Don't you see? In the Chamber of Secrets, you stabbed the Basilisk with the sword of Gryffindor, Its blade is impregnated with Basilisk venom," Hermione said.

"It only takes in that which makes it stronger," Harry said. "We need the sword to break the locket, maybe that's why Dumbledore left it to you in his will, he was giving you the item to destroy the Horcrux's" I said.

"There's only one problem..." Harry said. The lights suddenly turn off and I start looking around.

"The sword was stolen," I heard Ron say, turning on the lights with his deluminator.

"Yea I'm still here, but you three don't let me spoil your fun," he added.

"What's the problem?" Harry asked. "Problem? There's no problem, not according to you anyways," Ron said.

"Look, if you've got something to say, don't be shy, Spit it out," Harry said.

"All right, I'll spit it out, But don't expect me to be grateful because there's another damn thing we've gotta find," Ron said.

"I thought you knew what you signed up for," Harry said. "Yeah, I thought I did too," Ron replied.

"Well then, I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand, What part of this isn't living up to your expectations?Did you think we were gonna be staying in a hotel?Finding a Horcrux every other day?Thought you'd be back to mummy by Christmas?" Harry said.

"I just reckoned, after all this time we would've achieved something, I reckoned you knew what you were doing, I reckoned Dumbledore told you something worthwhile, I reckoned you had a plan," Ron said.

"I told you everything Dumbledore told me, In case you haven't noticed,we found a Horcrux," Harry said.

"Yeah, and we're as close to getting rid of it as we are to finding the rest of them," Ron replied.

"Ron, Please, take-take the Horcrux off, You wouldn't be saying this if you hadn't been wearing it all day," Hermione said trying to take the locket off Ron.

"Yea he would, don't you think I hear what you three whisper behind my back? Don't you think I've guess what you're thinking?" Harry said.

"Harry it's not like that," I said. "We weren't-," Hermione got cut off.

"Don't lie, you've said it too Hermione, you said you were disappointed," Ron said. "I didn't, Not like that! Harry I didn't," Hermione said.

"Do you know why I listen to the radio, every night? Do you! To make sure I don't hear Ginny's name or Fred or George or Mum or-," Ron got cut off by Harry.

"You don't think I listen! You think I don't know what it's like-," Harry said getting cut off.

"NO! YOU DONT KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE! YOUR PARENTS ARE DEAD! YOU HAVE NO FAMILY!," Ron yelled.

"IN THAT CASE Y/N DOESNT KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE, SHE DOESNT HAVE A FAMILY EITHER, HER PARENTS PICKED YOU KNOW WHO OVER HER, AND FOR SURE THE MOTHER AWARD DOESNT GO TO HER EITHER, HER KIDS ARE GONE AND SHE DOESNT KNOW WHERE THEY ARE!" Harry yelled.

Ron glared at Harry, Hermione was looking at me shocked, Both Harry and Ron started to fight.

"Stop! Stop!" Hermione yelled. They break apart, "Go then, but leave that," Harry said pointing at Ron's neck.

Ron takes the locket off, getting his things, "Oh and for your bloody information y/n has a family, she has me, Fred, George, Ginny, mum and dad," Ron said.

He looked over at Hermione motioning if she was going to go with him or not. She stayed in place and Ron started to walk out, "y/n let's go," Ron said as he completely left the tent.

I looked at Harry and Hermione, "I'll bring him back, I'm sorry I have to go with him, I can't let anything happen to him," I said.

Hermione nodded, "oh and Harry you have a family, The Weasleys all consider you family, even Ron, the locket just affects him, and you have me, and my kids, and you're right, I don't know where exactly they are, but I know I'm going to find them and I'll bring them back to me," I said walking out.
