Present Day

"So, we're good Miss Mia?"

I look back at Sam, "Yes. Please make sure to update me sa developments or should there be any problem."

He closes his big notebook, "Yes. Definitely."

Tumayo ako at inialok ang kamay ko sa kanya, "Thanks, Sam. I'll see you soon."

Lumingon sa paligid si Sam, "Uhm. Where's Oliver? I would like to thank him rin sana."

Hindi sumunod sa amin si Ollie, he's probably waiting outside by the ATV, "He's probably just outside. I'll let him know you said 'thanks'."

Tumango siya, "Alright. Thank you."

I walk back sa entrance and brace myself for what's about to happen. Sigurado ko naman hindi ako iniwan ni Ollie dito sa resort, I don't know which Ollie I'll see, will he apologize and make things right? Or pretend that conversation never happened?

I'm getting tired physically and emotionally so hindi ko alam kung gusto ko pa siyang makausap ngayon.

I walk out the doors at nakitang naka-park ang ATV pero walang Ollie, so I look around pero wala pa rin siya. I walk to the side of the venue kung saan kami nakaupo earlier but he's not there rin.

I look to the beach and see a hammock na nakasabit sa isa sa mga puno on the left side of the venue. Nandoon nakahiga si Ollie.

I stomp to where he's lying down at hinataw ang braso niya, "Huy!"

He squints up at me, "Hey. Tapos na kayo mag-usap?"

Namaywang ako, "Ay! Naistorbo ko po ba ang nap mo? Yes po, tapos na po kami mag-plan para sa birthday ni Lola. We can go now, kung okay ka na po umalis."

He sits up and cranes his neck, stretches his arms up and yawns, "I think I'll need coffee muna, Mi."

Gusto ko magreklamo but he is driving me home so I think kailangan kong siguraduhing hindi siya makakatulog while on the road.

"Tara na. Daan muna tayo sa restaurant before tayo bumalik sa bahay."

He stands up and walks beside me.

Tahimik kami pareho nang makarating sa ATV but he stops and stands in front of me, "Mi, about what I said earlier..."

I put my hand up, "I don't want to talk about it. Let's just have coffee and go home."

"Mi..."

Tumalikod ako at sumakay sa ATV.

He sighs habang sumasakay sa ATV at nag-drive paalis.

Ollie didn't get his coffee sa resort, I offered for him to get one sa first gas station na nadaanan namin pero okay na daw siya. I think he just wants to get away from me, like I want to get away from him. But I can see na antok na talaga siya so I told him that I need to go to the restroom.

So now he's parked at a gas station sa SLEX habang ako nakapila para bumili ng kape. I'm not a total monster.

My phone rings and I see Chase's name, after I got my phone back he's texted me three times but called just now. I haven't responded to any of his messages yet. I didn't know what to say to him.

I bite my lip and answer, "Hi Chase. Sorry I didn't text back, it was a busy day."

He sighs, "Oh. Okay. Sorry, naistorbo ba kita? I was just worried, your phone was off so I didn't know how else to reach you."
