Chapter 36

It took a while for me to fall asleep ng tuluyan kagabi but Ollie stayed with me until makatulog talaga ako.

When I woke up I was a little bit out of sorts dahil sa dami ng inisip at naramdaman ko kahapon. I was still feeling a little woozy nang may kumatok sa pinto ko.

I stand up and walk over to the door. Inaayos ko pa ang buhok ko nang buksan ko ang pinto.

I see a smiling Ollie nakatayo sa hallway holding a tray with a cup of coffee and some French toast.

I want to smile back pero I know I shouldn't. I was sleeping last night, I mean I was pretending to be asleep so dapat galit pa rin ako sa kanya ngayon.

I crossed my arms over my chest at isinandal ko ang balikat ko sa pinto.

I raised an eyebrow, "Anong ginagawa mo dito?"

Lalong lumapad ang ngiti niya and he holds up the tray, "I come bearing gifts."

He steps forward and I put my hand up to stop him, "Where do you think you're going?"

He looks behind me, "Ilalagay ko lang sa bed mo para makapag-breakfast in bed ka."

Nagsalubong ang kilay ko, "Anong meron?"

I stand a bit straighter, "Don't try to butter me up with breakfast, Oliver. Tandaan mong may kasalanan ka pa sa akin."

I smirk, "Malaki ang kasalanan mo sa akin. Hindi pa kita napapatawad."

His brows furrow, "Hindi pa ba sapat 'yong paliwanag ko kagabi? I already told you everything. I apologized for it, Mi."

I pretended like I didn't know what he was talking about, "Anong paliwanag? Kailan ka nagpaliwanag?"

A grin forms on his lips, "I knew you weren't sleeping, Mi."

I bite the inside of my cheek, "Anong ibig mong sabihin?"

He taps my nose, "Hahaba 'yang ilong mo, liar."

Hinampas ko ang kamay niya, "Anong liar? Anong pinagsasasabi mo?"

Dumerecho siya ng lakad papasok ng kwarto at inilapag ang tray sa kama ko. I thought lalabas na siya ng kwarto but he goes around me to push the door closed.

"Ollie!"

In a split second Ollie was behind me and he wrapped his arms around my waist.

I gasp.

Ipinatong niya ang baba niya sa balikat ko, "I'm sorry, Mi. For everything I did and didn't do. I'm so sorry."

Napakapit lang ako sa mga braso niya.

I can feel my heart thumping in my chest.

"I know sobrang habang panahon na ang nasayang ko and that I might have missed my shot with you, but I'm hoping you'll still give me a chance."

He hugs me tighter, "All I want is a chance, just one. I'll make sure to prove to you that I meant everything I said last night."

My whole body feels weak. Para akong matataob kapag binitiwan ako ni Ollie so I hold on to him to keep me steady.

I close my eyes.

He sighs, "Please say yes. Please give me a chance, Mi."

I realize na kahit anong mangyari pala, kahit anong iwas, kahit anong denial ang gawin ko, I'll always have these feelings for Ollie. Walang bilang ang mga taon na nagdaan when he's holding me like this.

We're been running around chasing each other for so long... chasing...

I quickly open my eyes and turn to face Ollie.
