TP POV:

After their little moment in the storage container, it was safe to say that Jeongguk and Taehyung's relationship had gotten stronger. The twins would sit together and talk often about silly things and stupid stories. There were still some stones unturned and some secrets Taehyung didn't dare let out. But otherwise, things were going good and strong.

Yoongi would sometimes pop up to visit. But that was very rare. The man was busy almost all the time. Maze, on the other hand, was still cluelessly wandering around. She for some reason was adamant about searching in the west. Whilst their siblings were out of contact the entire time, much to Taehyung's fortune.

Soon it was time for the detective to come back from the states and the twins to join back on the investigation. It was now more for their interest to tag along rather than the responsibility to find a certain runaway. The two had completely disregarded the deal but none of them cared really. Both parties were in agreement on that matter. So the deal went nullified unconsciously. Though not really since Jeongguk was still holding his bargain with Maze running her search.

When they reached the precinct they were informed that the officer in charge had found absolutely nothing and possibly didn't even do proper research to find the killer. The only thing that progressed was that the murderer made another victim.

A young woman on the east side of the city, a writer named Kim Chaeyoung. A beautiful woman who was living alone in her apartment. Seemed the killer knew her. Poor lady was doomed to death by the very person she had trusted. Her murder was unfortunate, yet the detective Han seemed to have too much time on his hands since progress was nonexistent.

Though the situation was devastating, the twins weren't surprised in the slightest. They were just glad it wasn't any worse. Because they knew the man would be of no good since they met him first.

The precinct was calm this time. People were doing their business without causing chaos and suffocation. The two immediately spotted the detective and rushed to him. "Long time no see detective" Jeongguk said in a cheeky tone. The detective looked up and gave them a sloppy grin. He seemed tired.

"Yeah. Sorry for leaving without notice. It was an emergency." The man explained. "Oh no, of course not. Everything is perfectly fine detective Kim. How was your trip?" The silver angel asked. "It was successful. But I'm afraid my plate is too full to have a proper rest" the man sighed exhaustedly. Clearly, he needed at least three days off. But the current murder Case was preventing him from that.

"Hello! You must be the Morningstars! Pleased to meet you!" An excited voice chirped. The twins looked at the small male with a happy grin. He was small in size and lively. Positivity coming from him in waves and he looked like the epitome of cheerfulness. The male seemed to remind the raven man of his twin from back in the days.

He watched how the two instantly hit it off after their brief introduction. Usually, Jeongguk was very picky about people who would go close to his twin. But for this man, he gave him the feeling that he would do good for the angel. Maybe bring back his old bubbly side. The man he had come to know as Park Jimin. The forensic annalist for the city police department. It seemed the man named Felix they met before had to transfer urgently due to family reasons and Jimin came to the rescue.

He turned to the detective instead who looked paler by the second. Now, Jeongguk may not be fond of humans much but Namjoon had inflicted the good part of his heart. He respected the man and his passion for his work. So he did get concerned for Namjoon's health.

"Detective, you do not seem to be quite alright to me." The devil said concerned. The two chattering male's directed their attention to the aforementioned. "He's right detective Kim. You look like you're in desperate need of some sleep." The silver angel said. "I'm alright really. I need to get this job done. People's lives are at stake" Namjoon replied.

"Yes, we understand that. But you cannot go on like this. I don't know about you, but I'm not in the mood to carry a fainted detective around today" the raven babbled. The rest chuckling at his remark. "Don't worry Lucifer I'll be fine." The detective replied. "No offense Namjoon hyung, but you really look like you'll collapse any minute," Jimin said cautiously. "Guys stop this already. We have people to interrogate-" Namjoon started but Jeongguk interrupted him. "If it's just interrogation then I and V can handle it. You should go home and rest detective" the hell warden advised.

"Yup. We can really take care of it" the angel was quick to agree. Jimin looking at them curiously.  "That's impossible. You guys are here at my discretion. You can't go on the investigation without me. Plus you don't know the protocols on the field. It is dangerous. I could get in a lot of trouble for sending you in unsupervised" the detective stressed as he rambled.

"Detective calm down if you're worried about the protocols then I believe Mr. Park would be more than delighted to educate us. Right, Mr. Park?" The raven cross-questioned. The small male nodding his head rapidly. 'but-" the officer started but was yet again interrupted. "And if it's about our positions you are worried about then I can fix that right now. Point me to your boss's office please" the angel said politely. Namjoon just sighed in frustration whilst Jimin gladly took him to the boss's cabin.

Taehyung knocked and swiftly walked in. He was in there for two hours at most. And when he came back he had the biggest grin on his face. The three men waiting outside looked at him weirdly. "What happened in there?" Jeongguk asked his twin. "Well, I just got us a position in the police department." He said and pulled out a paper with signatures on it. Namjoon snatched the paper from his hand and read through it. His expression getting more and more disbelieving by each word. "Impossible" he said dazedly. "What is it? What does it say?" The forensic annalist asked. "They were given positions for detective consultants." He said still in disbelief.

"Is that even a thing?" The small male asked. "it is now" the silver-head said bring cheeky like his brother. "How did you do that?" Jimin asked astonished. "I have my ways," the angel said and winked. Jeongguk chuckled at that. "Well then, now that this darling has settled this matter, you should get some rest detective. We'll handle this and report to you afterward" the devil said. "Bu-" the stubborn man started but was quickly shut off by the angel. "No buts! Go home detective Kim" he demanded. Namjoon sighed in defeat and at last gave in. He didn't have the strength to argue anymore.

As soon as the detective left the three men set off as well. It was time to investigate a murder.

Maze was wandering around the Vegas casinos. She for some reason had a very strong gut feeling that she'd find the runaway girl here.

She walked to the Russian roulette table and set in her coins ready to bid. She was good at this. Her bidding was made and she was waiting for the results. Her eyes sharp and mind always alert to her surroundings. She was getting frustrated by this clueless search. But Maze wasn't the type of demon who would give up. So she was still at it. Her drive kicking in full speed.

She won the first round and bid for the next one. The bidding was sealed and she again waited for the results. This went on and by the end of the night, she made a few million. Maze always had impeccable luck during gambling.

She cashed her money and decided to walk out. This money was going to be used to get information cleanly without trouble.

She was by the entrance about to get a taxi when someone tapped her shoulder. She turned around and found a beautiful woman wearing a bold red dress. Her skin glowed in the light and her eyes sparkled. The demon licked her lips as they formed into a smirk.

"Why hello there," she said seductively. The red lady smiled up at her.

Things just got interesting.

"JEONGGUK!" Taehyung's voice rang through the silent room as a deafening gunshot resonated.

I broke my steady release chain. I'm thinking of releasing two chapters today, but who knows.
