TP POV:
"So, your name is Lucifer? Like Satan Lucifer?" Jimin chirped. The three were on their way to interrogate some suspects and family members. Well, Taehyung and Jeongguk were. Jimin was going to the crime scene to get some more information and Jeongguk was giving him a lift.
"Yes. I am the devil. That's my name. One of many anyway" the devil replied. Jimin nodding along though he didn't believe him. Taehyung was snickering beside his twin because this was the fifth question Jimin had asked him about his name. And Jeongguk was answering him every time. No sign of anger nor irritation in his tone. For someone so impatient, the devil sure had the patience for those who were curious about certain things involving him.
"You know, I never really understood why people blamed the devil for every evil thing" Jimin suddenly spoke. "Oh? How so?" The raven asked curiously. "I believe we bear the consequences of our own actions. If I did something bad then it's only natural that something bad would happen to me, right? It's illogical to blame everything on one person and call them the cause of all evil" the small male explained.
Jeongguk grinned at that. "Do go on~" he encouraged. It has been very long since someone had told him that. "Yeah I mean, like the devil can't be all evil since there isn't all good in this world. Everything is balance. Even the best have some sort of bad in them so it isn't possible that the worst wouldn't have some good. That's what I believe at least. Everybody is capable of good." Jimin ranted. "You are my new favorite person Mr. Park," Jeongguk said and grinned widely. "I agree with him. You are my new favorite person too Jiminie. Is it okay if I call you that?" Taehyung asked smiling. Jimin nodded enthusiastically. "Of course, V!" Jimin giggled.
"And I agree with you. The devil was an angel once. It's hard to believe that someone would just turn into the ultimate evil being in a snap and change their entire being. You can't change someone's roots. And that's a fact." Taehyung ranted as his eyes never left his twin. Jeongguk resisting the urge to smile. "I know right?! The devil's not really bad. He can't create the bad that's already in people. They create those themselves. They just want to blame something to get rid of the guilt" the small male told his new friends.
"The devil is a punisher. He punishes those who had it coming. He doesn't cause harm to the innocent. He's just doing his job, but people always have to twist things, don't they?" The angel said whilst looking at the forensic annalist. Jimin nodding along.
"Alright. Alright. Enough with this discussion about me. We're here. Mr. Park, we will pick you up on our way back" Jeongguk informed. Jimin smiling at them brightly and bidding goodbye before leaving the car.
Jeongguk then proceeded to make way to the last victim's family house. "Thank you, Tae," Jeongguk said smiling slightly. "For what?" The angel asked confused. "For thinking that way" the raven clarified. Taehyung giggled at that. "You can't thank me for something I believe in, Ggukie. Besides, I'm just stating facts" the silver angel replied.
The two celestials smiled at each other as they drove to their destination.
The family house was small but beautiful. It was humble and homely yet had a gloom to it. But that was expected. Jeongguk stopped his car at the porch and walked to the other side. Taehyung got out of the car before Jeongguk could reach it but the latter just smiled sweetly at him. Taehyung's heart thumped at the cute bunny smile. It's been long since he had seen this side of the former archangel.
Sure Taehyung still had scars that may have been caused by Jeongguk, but he had learned to forgive and forget. Also, it wasn't exactly the raven's fault. Just the repercussions of his actions that Taehyung had to bear.
