13- The Burden of Secrets

Nang makabalik ng St. Harfeld Castle ay hindi alam ni Fenris kung ano ang gagawin-kung babalik ba siya ng infirmary o tutuloy na sa kanyang kwarto. She was so shocked to make a decision.

"I will tell the doctor that you're good to go back to your room," seryosong sabi ni Knight Hood. Hindi na nito isinuot ang hood habang papasok sila.

"Thank you po," mahina niyang sagot saka tumigil sa paghakbang.

Confusion was written all over Reid's face when he turned around to look at her. "Fenris, are you alright?"

Umiling siya. Namamaga ang kanyang mga mata at garalgal ang kanyang boses kahit na kanina pa siya tumigil sa pag-iyak. "I... I don't know."

Tuluyan itong humarap sa kanya. "Alam kong mabigat na bagay ang nakita mo kanina. It's a very serious secret of the Order. Promise me-."

"I won't tell anyone," pagtatapos niya sa sasabihin nito. "Not a single soul."

Bumaha ang relief sa mukha nito. "I promised you that I will protect you. I owe you my life and I'm very thankful. But there are things that I expect you to do for the Order. This is one of them."

"At kapag hindi ko ginawa, kapag may sinabihan ako, you are going to kill me," aniya.

Hindi sumagot si Reid pero sapat na 'yun para malaman niya ang sagot. He would kill her if she disregarded the order.

"I won't tell anyone but I want to make something clear. Nagbago na ang pagtingin ko sa Order and I'm very frustrated."

Tumango ang lalaki. "I understand. I felt the same when I found out about it two years ago-when I became the Master Knight. Until I came to accept it because it's my duty."

Duty. Gustong matawa ni Fenris. She thought everything would go smooth because the Order was the embodiment of what's holy. The Order was perfect. Iyun ang itinuro sa kanila sa school at sa simbahan.

She wasn't sure what happened back at the Holy Mountain but one thing's for sure- three people died. And hundreds more were dying.

"Ngayon pa lang, ask yourself if you want to stay. You will learn more secrets as you stay longer."

Stay? Would she stay? Did she still want to stay?

"I'm so sorry," totoong may regret sa mukha nito. He was just doing his job. "You know what, why don't we train to blow off some steam?" nakangiti na si Reid- though halatang pilit lang 'yun- nang tingnan n'ya ito.

Kumunot ang noo ni Fenris. "Seryoso? Technically, hindi pa ako ni-release ng doctor."

"Nah. You're fine. Knight Blood's medicine is always effective. Let's go."

Huminga na lang ng malalim si Fenris dahil nauna nang humakbang ang lalaki. Wala siyang nagawa at sumunod na lang dito. He was her senior. She had to obey.

They ended up in a big training room with padded floor and weapons on the wall.

"This is not where the Apprentices do training," komento niya. Amazed na amazed siya sa malaking silid na 'to.

"No. It's because you train outside. This is the training room of the Knights," sagot ni Reid.
