Chapter 11: Commit

"I hope it's just a dream, please," I whispered to myself as the silk glides to my skin. I was catching my breath as I stifled a sob that wanted to escape from my mouth.

I closed my fist as I wish that it's just a dream that I have returned home. I was resisting to open my eyes because I'm afraid that I might see myself being locked to the four corners of the room. I'm scared to face that I'm back to being in solitude again.

"T-This is just a dream--"

"Ayaw niyang bumaba?"

When I heard my mother's voice, I shut my eyes and bit my lower lip. Fear automatically crept like a hungry beast, and her voice was enough to make me tremble. The voice that always says violent words and empty threats could kill me mentally and emotionally.

"Serina, open the door," my mom ordered, but I was resisting to get up from my bed. I don't want to see her face. I don't need her presence in my life. If I could only have one wish, that would be to be free from her chains.

She's wearing a violet circle skirt dress with her hair down up to her elbows. Her lips are painted in red-violet color, and her eyelids were shaded in black and violet.

When she stepped closer, I smelled that she reeked again of perfume. I looked at her ebony eyes intently, trying to fight the fear that's triggering my sanity.

"Welcome home, Serina," she greeted with an evil smirk on the corners of her lips.
