Chapter 18: Hate Me

"This is your caramel latte, Ma'am," the barista said and placed my order on the table. I scented immediately the smell of the latte, which caused me to smile. It's my comfort drink whenever I'm bombarded with my work.

"Merci," I thanked the barista. When she left, I took a sip of the latte that traveled down to my throat, giving me warmth.

I was just typing when suddenly, the smell of the coffee was replaced by a recognizable scent that made my nose crinkled. I'm right, it's Acqua Di Gio, and I only know one person who uses that kind of cologne.

"Fuck, Serina!" Orcus cursed, which made me stop, but I was resisting myself not to look back. If I could ignore him for a week, then I can do that for a year or maybe forever. That's is how I want to secure myself away from him.

My grip tightened on the strap of my bag as I felt stunned on the spot that I'm standing. I should have just continued walking, but when he called my name, it seemed that I'm under his control.

When he came in front of me, he was catching his breath, and I could see the air coming out from his mouth. This man is unbelievable!

His hazel eyes were radiant to the sun's rays, making it bright yellow. Gosh! The magazine didn't give justice to how unbelievable this man is. He looks surreal in person. I guess the word handsome is not enough to describe his beyond belief visuals.
