Reese***

My mind was all over the place. Between Gaby going out with my ex and Rickel making advances at me, I couldn't fall asleep.

Did I really want to participate in his little 'lie'? Was he really going to pay me to be his pretend girlfriend? I could really use the money to continue my education. Maybe I could even send some back home.

Gaby was another story. It was almost 3 a.m. and she wasn't home as yet. If Aaron is still the dog I know he is, he probably has her at a sleazy motel having his way with her. I couldn't tell her to stop going out with him without telling her what happened between us. Maybe I should just leave them be, afterall they're both adults.

I took up a piece of paper and started writing down the rules.

Rules of fake girlfriend agreement

1. No unnecessary or private interactions
2. Must be paid by the hour

I tried to think of something else to write but my mind was blank. What was I even doing frolicking with the enemy? I stubbornly continued to write anyway.

3. Absolutely no sex
4. No jealousy

I placed the paper on the center table and tried falling asleep. It was 4:a.m. Almost time for me to be at work already and Gaby hasn't reach home as yet.

I had no idea when I drifted off to sleep but a few moments later I was awoken by giggling.

"Gaby?"

She was twirling across the living room floor holding a red rose.

"Good morning Reese," she said happily. "How was your night? Did you enjoy it? I really really really enjoyed mine."

She was overly excited. I sat up in the couch and rubbed my eyes.  It was 5:59 a.m. and almost time for me to leave for work.

"Hmmm.....I guess he was a real gentleman?" I had my fingers crossed for some reason, hoping they didn't have sex.

She laughed. "He was a gentleman alright and he treated me like a lady. We had an amazing dinner at a hotel, then later in the night he took me up to his suite and had his way with me. He was so damn good!"

Of course he is. I could write a book about his love making.

"Don't you want to hear the details? You seem really distant Reese."

I threw the covers from my body. "I'm not distant. I'm just really tired. I didnt get much sleep last night and see, I'm almost late for work already." I gave her a fake smile and hurried into the bathroom.

With the door securely locked behind me, I turned the pipe on and tried to breathe. My chest felt as if it was getting tighter as hot tears flowed down my cheeks.

How did I end up in this mess? Why me? Why did he have to start dating my friend....the only good friend I gave left for that matter.

I slid to the floor and bawled quietly. I just freed myself and let everything go. Everything that has happened to me and everyone that had hurt me. My shoulders heaved up and down and I tried to stop my eyes from watering. I know how puffy they get when I cry and I don't want Gaby asking me any questions.

A few minutes and a million hiccups later, I had stopped crying and was taking a shower. I tried to push the Aaron, Gaby couple to the back of my mind and focus on the task ahead.

Being Rickel's fake girlfriend.

I got dressed in my maid's uniform and left while Gaby was making breakfast. I couldn't stand to look in her face right now and I knew she would waste no time in telling me how Aaron was in bed.

¡Dios mio! My life felt like a soap opera.

I arrived at the mansion at 7:05 a.m. and Rickel was already dressed in his business suit. His mother was lounging in the living room and Sheila was no where in sight.

"Good morning Reese. Can I see you in my office please." He said with such command that i had to wonder if I had imagined last night.

I followed him up to his office and he locked the door behind me.

"Have a seat." He commanded.

I felt like I was called to the principal's office and was awaiting punishment.

Rickel sat at the desk and took some papers from a brown folder.

"Do you remember what we discussed last night?"

I nodded and he continued. "My lawyer and I drew up an agreement for you to sign."

"Lawyer?" I was astonished. He was taking this thing too far. "Should I get a lawyer too?"

"That won't be necessary. This is just a precautionary measure." He handed the paper to me and I read it out loud.

"This is a fake relationship contract between Rickel Nichols and Reese Rivera. The above mentioned are binded by this contract and are to adhere to the rules outlined by both parties."

I looked at his serious face. "Seriously Rickel?"

"It's a simple contract Reese. Just sign it."

"And may I ask what your rules are before signing?" I asked.

He handed me a piece of paper.

Rules of this agreement

1. Both parties are allowed to date other people, providing they keep it discreet.

2. The female will be banned from asking the male for money unless it's her pay.

3. The female should always be on call whenever the male needs her.

4. If sex becomes involved, feelings and emotions must be kept to one's self.

"May I have your rules now?" He asked when I finished reading his.

He gave it a once over then glanced at me. "Absolutely no sex huh? I guess that's because you haven't seen me naked?"

He was so damn full of himself. Who does he think he is? He's not even that sexy.

"Do you agree with my rules are not?" I was getting heated.

"So how much would you like to get paid by the hour?"

I thought for a moment. I didn't want to make my price too cheap or too expensive.

"$200 per hour."

"Deal." He agreed instantly.

Damn! That's even more than he pays me as a maid!

"Plus overtime pay if I go beyond 10 p.m."

"Ok. Sure."

Something was wrong here. Why was he agreeing to everything I say?

"So that's that. You can go back to work now." He dismissed me but my mind wasn't settled.

All throughout the day I was tormented. Something about this deal just wasn't sitting right with me.

Rickel left for work and I was left to fend for myself with the two she devils.
