"Who is Aaron?" He asked again.

I didn't know what to do. I was beyond embarrassed. Why was Aaron's name even on my mind? I wasn't thinking about him.

¡Dios mio!

"Answer me!"

I took a breath. "He's my ex boyfriend."

Rickel folded his arms. "How is this the first I'm hearing about him?"

I cleared my throat. "We are not in a relationship. What I do on my own time is my business."

Realization dawned on him and he took his seat a few inches away from me this time. He cleared his throat a few times.
"I guess we'll continue watching the movie then you can go back to your quarters."

I nodded as I kept my eyes fixated on the screen. I couldn't look in his face. I mean, the guy just had a finger in me. I was very wet. Now he's going to think I have a thing for him, which I absolutely do not! I'm here to do a job and that's all I'm doing.

Actually I'm lost. I have no idea what I'm doing anymore. I want to record Rickel's confession so I can use it against him and get some kind of justice. But after that, what will I do?

Rickel's phone rang. "Hello?........no Sheila...... no Sheila. Why don't you call one of your friends to stay with you? You do that then. Goodnight."

He hung up and resumed watching the movie. I didn't need to ask what that was about. Sheila clearly wants to be ravished by Rickel tonight.

The movie ended and I got up to leave. "Goodnight Rickel."

He didn't answer. He just watched me walk out. What was wrong with him? Was he really jealous because I mistakenly called him Aaron? He couldn't be. He was Rickel Nichols. The multi-billionaire sex god.

I went straight to the kitchen and took few scoops of ice cream. What a hectic day this has been.

"So....are you ready to tell me what's going on between you and my son?"

¡Dios mio! Just when I think things couldn't get worse.

"With all due respect Mrs. Nichols, I didn't force your son into anything."

She got some ice cream and took a seat beside me. "I'm not saying you forced him but as his mother, I know how easily he can be manipulated. You seem to know just how to control men, get them under your thumb so they do as you command."

I didn't want to be disrespectful to his mom. I was trying very hard to stay humble. She wasn't the one I had beef with anyway.

"Why don't you like me, Mrs. Nichols?" I asked calmly.

"Don't try to put words in my mouth young lady.

"Actions speak louder than words. I know you hate me, but why? What have I ever done to you?"

She shook her head. "You don't get it, do you? You're a freaking maid, dammit!"

"Being a maid is what I do, not who I am. You need to get that through your thick wig so it can reach to your brain somehow."

She stared at me with disbelief in her eyes. "You disgust me! You are what I don't need right now. Another Thelma in my life." She slammed the spoon on the counter and left huffing.

Whew! I'm sure that outburst had nothing to do with me. I made a mental note to ask Rickel who this Thelma was. Maybe Rickel had a sister who became a maid? Knowing how boasty and high minded Mrs. Nichols was, she must have disowned her own daughter to save face.

I took another serving of ice cream. It's easy to enjoy all the ice cream I wanted when I wasn't the one paying for it. Once I have ice cream, there is some hope left in my life.

My phone buzzed on the counter and with my mouth full of ice cream I answered.

"Hello?"

"What oh my God!?" Goose bumps overtook my body.

"Why was no one home with her at the time? Is anything broken?....... I don't have much money right now but I'll see what I can do."

With a shaky hand I hung up the phone and placed it on the counter.

I was shaking like a leaf. What if anything bad happens to her? What if she dies? I couldn't forgive myself for that. I would have nothing left to live for.

"Everything alright?" Rickel's voice broke through my thoughts.

"Y-yes. I'm fine." I lied.

He stared at me and I tried to keep my composure. I couldn't break down, at least not in front of him.

He stepped closer to me and in a soft asked, "Reese, what is wrong?"

"It's my mother." I said before the dam burst and my eyes started overflowing.

Rickel's arms surrounded me and I sunk into his embrace. "She f-fell down the stairs and she's hurt and I cannot go look for her and what if she dies before I finish college! Oh my God I'm going to die!"

Rickel hugged me tighter and I bawled like a baby. He started rubbing my back.

"Shhh..... It's going to be alright." He tried to console me.

I pulled away from him. "How?!" I couldn't stop myself from shouting at him. "How the hell do you know? You live in your fancy mansion with a maid at your service. You're idea of a real problem is not finding the right brand shirt to match your damn fancy shoes! You don't understand my problems."

I inhaled and exhaled deeply. Somehow I felt lighter now. I let all my frustration out on this innocent man.

He stared at me.

I stood there not knowing what to do.

He shook his head and grabbed me closer to his body again. "Listen to me Reese! I'm your damn man for now. I won't let anything happen to her. Just trust me."

I knew I shouldn't trust him but I couldn't stop myself from believing. I wanted my mother to be ok.

"Get ready. We'll go look for your mom now." He turned to go get his car keys.

"We cant." I stopped him.

"Why not? I know you're scared Reese, but once you see that she's ok, you'll feel better."

I made no effort to move.

"Reese. Please. Why can't we go?"

I took a deep breath. "We can't go because she lives in Puerto Rico."
