Reese***

"I'm not pulling out of the garage until you come to the front."

I rolled my eyes. "I'm perfectly comfortable around here Rickel." I answered.

Rickel shut the car engine off and folded his arms. He was so stubborn sometimes. Why do I have to sit in the front? It's not like I'm his wife or anything. I'm just his lowly girlfriend. I reluctantly dragged myself to the front seat and buckled myself in.

It was 8:15 am and we were already driving out. Rickel still refused to tell me where he was taking me. He kept saying that I deserved a surprise and he was going to give it to me.

"Where are we going?" I asked again.

Rickel turned the radio off. "Don't make this hard for yourself. I'm not going to tell you. It's a damn surprise. Don't make me have to blindfold you."

I folded my lips and started giggling like a damn teenager. Who does he think I am? His little daughter? He can't blindfold me!

Rickel pulled over to the side of the road and sighed. "Why Reese? Why are you laughing?"

"Because you think you can blindfold me like a child."

Rickel leaned toward me and whispered. "Hmmm.....you'll see. I'm going to blindfold you as soon as we reach our destination."

His deep, raspy voice was sending chills down my spine. He held my cheeks and slowly pulled me toward him. I almost forgot to breathe as his tongue ran along my lip asking for entry and I gave it to him. He cupped my face with both hands as he sucked on my lips. It was the most sensual kiss I've had in a long while.

When he broke apart for air, he still held onto my cheeks and were gazing into my eyes.

"I'm so in love with you." He whispered so lowly that I thought I might have imagined it.

He cleared his throat and leaned back into his seat. "Any song you would like to hear?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "Anything is fine." My throat felt parched and I grabbed for my water bottle. I didn't want him to know that the kiss affected me so much.

My heart skipped a beat when the song Rickel selected started to play. Was it a coincidence or was he playing it to me?

'I found love in you..
And I learned to love me too
Never have I felt that I could be all that you see
It's like our hearts have intertwined into the perfect harmony
This is why I love you
Ooh this is why I love you
Because you love me
You love me'

I stared out the window so I could hide my blushing cheeks from him. We drove in silence for about an hour and a half. I didn't start to get nervous until Rickel took an off-road.

There were tall trees on both sides of the road and way too much stones. Were we going camping?

The outdoors really creeps me out. I absolutely hate small, crawling bugs and insects. I shivered and Rickel smiled at me.

"What's wrong?"

I shook my head. "Nothing."

He stopped the car at a cute little cabin overlooking a lake. "We're here." He smiled at me and got out.

I followed him, helping to bring the luggage inside. There was a beautiful garden to one side of the walkway and I thought I saw some flowers I've never seen before. I've never liked flowers but these were gorgeous. I felt like I was in a children's book and fairies were going to start flying around anytime soon.

"Welcome Mr. Nichols. May I bring your bag to your room?"

I had no idea we were going to have company but Rickel had a whole crew out here. There was a chef, a maid, gardeners, electricians, plumbers, you name it.

I wondered how long we would be staying here. I felt like I could live here forever.....as long as I don't see any rats. I absolutely hate rats!

"Yes Ramon, you can bring our bags." Rickel smiled at the guy and handed our bags to him.

He clapped his hands. "So Reese......what do you think of the place?"

"It looks soooooo amazing!" I gushed. "I really hope I'm not dreaming."

Rickel gave me a brief hug. "I assure you you're not. Now shall I give you a tour of the facility?" He stretched his hand out to me and I took it gently.

"Don't mind if I do sir." My British accent needed a lot of work and earned a chuckle from Rickel.

"That was terrible." He said. "I'm going to put it on my to-do list to take you to England one day."

I rolled my eyes. "Oh shut up and just give me the tour."

The cabin was amazing! It was a two storey masterpiece. The furniture were a little outdated and I didn't see a television anywhere. There was a hot tub on the balcony that I couldn't wait to try out.

"And this, madam, will be our sleeping quarters." Rickel announced and I snapped out of my day dream. We were standing in what I assumed was the master bedroom. The king sized bed was extra large and my body was telling me to go lay down.

Rickel stretched out his hand to me. "Come on, Reese. Hand it over." He demanded.

"Hand over what?"

"Your cellphone."

"Why do you need my phone?" I asked as I placed it into his hand.

"To do this." He said as he pressed on the power button. "This cabin is a no technology zone. No t.v., no internet, no phones."

I panicked for a while. What if Mrs. Francis tries to get a hold of me? What if something goes wrong?

"Come on Reese. You'll be fine. It's only for two days."

I sighed. "Fine. Your house, your rules."

Rickel took up his bags and placed both phones in it then he started changing.

"We are going for a walk." He announced. "Would you like to change?"

I looked down at my romper and sandals. "Nah I'm good. Where are we going?"

Rickel smiled.....an actually genuine smile. "We are going on a journey into my childhood days."

I blushed a little. He wanted to show me what he did as a child? That's kind of cool and.......intimate.

We went down the stairs to the kitchen and Rickel got us a few bottles of water and some snacks then informed one of the guys that we would be out for a while.

We walked along a narrow path that opened up to a beautiful garden. The sun was out and it was an overall beautiful day. As we walked, Rickel intertwined his fingers with mine and I forgot all my troubles. I wish I could just stay in this moment forever.

"My family would come here every summer." Rickel smiled as he touched an old rope swing mounted on a tree. "We had so much fun here."

I cannot recall Rickel saying he had any siblings. Was he running around these bushes all by himself? I could imagine a young, high-spirited Rickel roaming these bushes with his juvenile imaginations.

"Your mom and dad played with you in these bushes?" I asked.

Rickel chuckled. "Nah. My sister and me, along with any cousins that came for the summer, would play out here."

"You have a sister?"

Rickel stopped smiling for a while. He grimaced as if he remembered something awful then his smile was back again. "That's a story for another day."

I didn't pry any further. When he's ready to talk, I'm sure he'll open up to me.

We spent the rest of the morning sitting under a huge tree reminiscing about our childhood days.
