Reese***
I was trembling with fear. What was I thinking sleeping over at Rickel's house? What if he somehow loses his temper in the middle of the night and kicks me out? I know how bad his temper can get. I have learned from experience.
I took a shower and was standing in the bathroom contemplating what my next move should be. Should I confront him about what happened or should I just play it cool?
I took a deep breath and exited the bathroom wearing a comfortable pair of pyjamas that Rickel bought.
The room I was staying in was as big as a whole one bedroom apartment. There was a walk in closet filled with new clothes, a flat screen on the wall and a king sized bed that made me not miss Gaby's bumpy couch.
There was a knock on the door.
"So you're already dressed for bed? I thought we could talk before you turn in?"
"Talk about what?" I asked.
"Our deal of course. Maybe we can do it while watching a movie?"
I was a bit hesitant at first but what have I got to lose anyway? I've already lost my pride and dignity by living on someone else's couch and I dropped out of college and is now a maid. I mean, what else could go wrong?
"Ok sure." I agreed.
"Come to my room in the next five minutes." He said and left.
That, I didn't expect. Why couldn't we talk in a common area like the living room or the kitchen? Why his room?
I couldn't back out now. I've already told him yes. I just know how to dig holes for myself.
I took up my phone and walked quietly to his room. I could overhear his mom talking really loudly downstairs. She must be on the phone with her husband because she was talking about how Rickel was ruining his life and the family business.
I knocked on his door.
"Why are you knocking Reese? Just come in."
I pushed the door opened and stepped in. The lighting was turned down and he had a few scented candles lit. This looked more like a romantic date than a business meeting. What the heck?!
"You can go take a seat on the couch. I'll set up the movie." He started fondling the remote then settled for Double Wedding.
Double wedding? A romantic movie in dim lighting? What have I gotten myself into?
Something was wrong with him and I wanted to leave until I saw the thousand dollar bottle of wine and my favorite chocolates. Well..... Maybe I'll just stay for a little.
As the movie started, Rickel took a seat beside me and poured two glasses of wine. My hands were shaky as I took my first sip and waited for him to begin this 'meeting'.
He took up his writing pad. "So let's get down to business. We need to come up with a story of how we met in case someone asks."
That's actually a good point. I never thought that far.
"I think we have to first write down our interests then find something we have in common." I suggested.
He nodded then tore me a piece of paper. "Go ahead Reese. Write down what intrigues you."
Somehow he found a way to make that statement sound sexy.

Rickel read both lists then chuckled. "Well if any two people can be entirely different it's definitely us. What was I even thinking? We have nothing in common. Maybe I should just call this whole thing off."
There was no way I was going to let him take away my extra income. "I'm sure we can come up with something. I love cooking and you love eating chilli. Maybe we could have bonded over that?"
"Like what? I saw you on the streets and asks if you could make chilli then took you home? Come on Reese. Be more realistic."
"Ok." I thought for a moment. "You like going to parties and I like dancing. Maybe we could meet at a party?"
"Seriously?" Rickel asked. "Why would we attend the same party? That would be so embarrassing for me. We run in different circles for crying out loud."
"Excuse me for trying to come up with a story to help you! Maybe you deserve to be with someone like Sheila!" I got up to leave but his strong arms grabbed me.
"Please don't leave. I'm sorry. I guess I'm just stressed." He apologized.
"Stressed about what?"
"Work." His answer was simple and he took a couple sips of his wine.
I pried a little more. "What about work is stressing you out?"
He shook his head and took a breath. "Almost all my employees want to quit."
"And why is that? Are they not getting paid enough?"
"They are being well paid with a lot of added perks. They just hate their boss, because, as they put it, 'he's a controlling, manipulating jerk who takes his problems out on his employees because he has no friends.'"
"Oh." I said. I felt sorry for him. To be rich sure seemed very lonely. It must be hard for him to find genuine people who want to be around him without any ulterior motive.
He placed his head in his arms and rocked back and forth. Was he crying? I awkwardly placed by hand on his back and rubbed in circles.
"It's going to be alright Rickel." I was not good at giving advice or counseling people. I absolutely hated being in situations like this.
"How Reese? How is everything going to be Ok? If I have no employees I have no business and if I have no business, what do I do then? Seek a job? Work for minimum wage? No offense but I cannot go there. I have the weight of my entire family on my shoulders."
I huddled closer to him and placed both arms around him. "Maybe you'll just have to strategize better. Like have a suggestion box for employees. Let them tell you how they would like their problems solved."
He leaned toward my body. "That's a good idea. Maybe it can work." He looked up into my face. "Do you think I'm a jerk, Reese?"
"No I don't." I answered quickly. "You're a good person. Only a fool wouldn't want to be your friend."
A small smile crossed his lips. "Thanks." He muttered as he leaned his head on my shoulder.
We watched the movie in silence. This sensitive side of Rickel is so different from his arrogant side. Sometimes I wish he would just stay like this: calm and easy to deal with.
I felt a wet kiss on my neck and goose bumps overtook my body.
I froze.
Rickel kissed me again, this time pulling me closer to him and spreading kisses down to my collar bone.
My reasoning ability went off line as my heart beat quickened and blood flowed in areas that made me want to moan.
His lips travelled to mine and we kissed passionately. I moaned into his mouth as his hands searched under my pyjamas.
"Let's see how wet you are." He whispered into my ear. His deep, sexy voice prompted my legs to slide open giving him access.
He slowly slid a finger into my wet core making me lose my mind.
"Hmmm.....you are making me so hard right now." His voice was driving me crazy.
"Ahhhhh......" I moaned, gripping his back. "Don't stop Aaron!"
Everything happened so fast. Rickel pulled away from me so quickly it was like my skin had burned him.
I had no idea of what had happened until he asked, "Who the crap is Aaron?!"
