Accidents happen

Tommy and Tubbo were running from Fundy, who was letting them get the upper hand. Tommy looked back then started climbing a tree.

"Wh- Tommy that's dangerous!" Tubbo watched him climb up.

"It'll be fine, just don't slip!" Tommy looked down and watched Tubbo start to climb.

Fundy stood at the base and watched them climb, "I'm coming up!"

Tommy made it to the top and looked down, "Tubbo hurry up!"

"I'm trying! It's just really-" Tommy watched as the branch Tubbo was standing on snapped and he plummeted to the ground.

"Tubbo!" Tommy yelled and quickly climbed down with Fundy.

The adults heard the yelling and quickly rushed outside, Techno breaking into a run when he saw Tubbo on the ground.

Tubbo sat up dazed as Techno arrived, "Wh- Dad...?"

"I'm here, I'm here," Techno pulled him into a hug, "Are you alright? What happened?"

"I think I fell... My head hurts..." Techno turned his attention to Tommy and Fundy as Phil and Wil came over.

"Are either of you hurt?" Phil placed a hand on Techno's shoulder as the boys shook their head.

Techno started looking over Tubbo, "What the hell do you three think you were doing? What if you had all fallen? What if-"

"Techno. We can discuss this later," Phil looked down at him.

"Dad-"

"Later."

Techno just huffed and touched Tubbo's wrist, "Ow!" The outburst causing both Tubbo and Techno to pull away.

"Tubs, I'm sorry-"

"Techno, just stop prodding at him. The doctors can do a lot more than you," Wilbur rolled his eyes.

"Wilbur, be nice to your brother. He's rightfully worried," Phil looked at Wil before turning to the guilty boys, "Once Tubbo is ok, you two will be handled."

Tommy took a step forward, "Dad, it was my fault. I shouldn't have-"

"Later, Tommy," Phil looked at him before kneeling next to Tubbo and Techno, "Wil, why don't you and the boys go wait inside."

Techno watched them go then looked at Tubbo, "Hey Tubs, how are you feeling now?"

"Tired..." Tubbo slumped against Techno and his eyes started to close.

"Don't fall asleep, it'll make it worse," Techno gently picked him up and carried him towards the car while Phil followed.

Tubbo mumbled something before falling asleep, only to be startled awake by Techno, "Wh- Dad..."

"You can't fall asleep, Tubs, I'm sorry," Techno set him down and went inside to get Niki.

Phil sat down next to Tubbo and kept him awake, softly talking to him and rubbing his back. Niki soon joined him as Techno started driving them to the hospital, glancing at them in the mirror.

When they arrived, both Phil and Niki had to force Techno into a seat to keep him from pacing. Phil watched how Niki took Techno's hand and smiled to himself, glad his son could find someone to calm him.

After a long hour, a doctor came out with a sleepy Tubbo, who now had a cast, and a prescription. Techno jumped out of his seat to him and doted while Phil and Niki talked with the doctor.

They arrived home to find a crying Tommy, an anxious Fundy, and an absent Wilbur. Niki led Tubbo upstairs as Techno and Phil stood over the boys.

"Techno, I'm sorry, I didn't think-" Tommy started.

"No, you weren't thinking. Neither of you were," Techno looked at Fundy, "Do you two even know how dangerous that was? What if Tubbo had died!"

Phil placed a hand on his shoulder, "Techno, you need to calm down. They get the point."

Techno shoved Phil off him and turned to him, "No. This is unacceptable. He could have died. They all could have been seriously injured! This isn't something to be passive about!"

Phil looked Techno in the eyes, "Shouting at them won't do you any good. What's done is done and no matter how much you yell, that won't change. They're sorry and they'll be punished and this won't happen again."

"It shouldn't have happened in the first place!"

"I agree, but they were just playing. Accidents are bound to happen," Techno heard Niki come back and he turned to talk to her.

Niki saw the anger in Techno's eyes and took his hand, "Join me in the kitchen?" When he nodded, she led him into the kitchen and made him some tea.

Phil just sighed and looked at the boys, "You're both grounded and you won't have your phones for the rest of the week."

Both boys immediately agreed and handed over their phones. Tommy went to go into the kitchen, but Phil stopped him.

"Maybe nows not the best time, Tommy," Phil gave him a smile as the quiet argument between Techno and Niki ended in a door slamming.

Niki came out of the kitchen with a sigh and saw Tommy, "He'll come around, don't worry. He's just in his anxious Dad state right now," she gave him a smile before going upstairs.

Tommy wasn't sure if Techno would forgive him, let alone if he could forgive himself.
