"There it is" I breathed.
Just beyond the long meadow of untouched grass, lay my childhood home, ivy creeping up the chimney. As the Survey Corps reached Shinganshina and spotted the gates to the abandoned town—the town where this hell started—goosebumps adorned my skin. I was staring at the truth, rotting with broken bricks and green mosses. We rode into the sunrise, awaiting whatever came next, beyond the Wall, into the sad, bloodied town.
After galloping to our very own fates, everything happened so quickly.
Horse hooves.
Battle cries.
Sizzling ODM gear.
As Levi scaled himself down the Wall and sheathed his blades through Reiner's being, a weary breath got caught in my throat because the next thing I knew,
lightning struck the earth.
Reiner wasn't dead,
and our battle had just begun.
