May 19th 1994

Jackie lay in her bed, her hands being held tightly by her children. Since the birth of Ciara, Jackie had put her three children before anything else. Over the years, she bore many more tragedies. The death of Bobby and many more relatives and friends, including her mother in 1989. Now, Jackie knew it was her turn.

She spoke to her children, knowing it would time soon. "Caroline" Jackie smiled weakly. "You were the light in me and your father. When we were going downhill, you came along and everything worked out perfectly from then" Jackie smiled at her elder daughter. Caroline leaned forward, and the mother and daughter kissed on the lips. "Take care of your children. One day, they will mean so much" Jackie said, sitting back in her bed.

"But they already do" Caroline quietly cried, taking her mother's hands. Jackie laughed before turning to John Jr.

"John, my beloved little boy. You will never know how much your father loved you and he was taken from you, at too early an age" Jackie sighed. John looked into his mother's eyes. He became choked up. "And even though, you never knew him properly, he'll always be there for you" Jackie finished.

Her son leaned forward and kissed his mother's head. Jackie smiled before turning to her youngest daughter Ciara.

"Ciara" Jackie whispered. "You came into this world at a time when I could never be truly happy. You never met your father, but I brought you home and you grew up with your brother and sister. And even though it upset me several times, I told you stories and showed you photographs and films of your father. Hoping that he'd stay alive inside you" Jackie whispered. Jackie let out a small tear. It would be her last, out of the millions she had shed since 1963.

Ciara sobbed. "Oh mum. Why do you have to leave? You've always been there for the three of us" Ciara sobbed. Caroline and John looked at their sister. The loss of their mother would fall heavily on her, losing the only parent she knew in person.

Jackie looked at her. "Ciara, I'll always be here. Remember what I told you about your father. He may not be physically here, but he'll always be here". Jackie reached out and placed her fingertips on her daughter's heart.

Jackie sat back and had a hand out to each of her children. "I love you all, and I'll miss you. Remember just do what your heart desires, and you can live happily" Jackie gave a massive grin before sitting back into her pillows, feeling exhausted. Her children sobbed heavily. "Oh mum" Caroline sobbed loudly.

Jackie sat back. "All of you. Don't cry for me, I'll be with your father now" Jackie whispered. Slowly she closed her eyes. Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy had died. After her husband's assassination, she had never remarried. Now she had three surviving heirs, all of them grieving.
