The White House

Jackie entered the White House private apartments. Her husband had been changed into the clothing she had requested and the belongings she had asked for were placed in his coffin. The apartments were silence. To Jackie it was haunting.

She stood in her gore soaked suit, and she held her immaculate pillbox hat in one hand. It would be hardly stained as the blood had dried in on the gloves. She looked at it. "Oh" Jackie quivered before letting a few tears fall.

She reached into one of the small pockets on her suit. She pulled out a small folded piece of white cloth. Inside was a lock of her husband's hair that she had taken. She held back her tears until she closed the doors of her bedroom.

Her stomach began to ache. It was just early on pregnancy pains. "I'm sorry" Jackie quietly sobbed, sitting at the edge of her bed. "I'm sorry baby Kennedy" Jackie rubbed her stomach. "But I don't think you're going to have a father".

Jackie stopped. She didn't understand why she had said: 'She didn't 'think''. Her husband was dead, and he would be buried in 3 days. She knew he was dead. It made Jackie think of other things. So much ran through her head that she screamed. Except nothing came out. The only thing that came out were tears.

Jackie dissolved into a puddle of tears, and she couldn't stop them. She couldn't until Bobby entered.

"Bobby" Jackie sighed as she ran to him and embraced him. "You're the only person I can talk to" Jackie told him. Bobby was stunned but he understood.

"I'll be here for you". Jackie weakly smiled before slowly starting to sob again.
