They said that when someone died, he or she will become a star. I wonder which in those stars are my Mama. She might be the brightest one that shining above.

I took a sip at my can beer before sighing. Nilagay ko ang can beer sa katabi kong lamesa at nahiga ng maayos sa sun lounger sa gilid ng pool namin. I raised my right hand and point my finger to the brightest star that I'm seeing tonight.

"Is it you, Mama? Are you watching me from there? I miss you much!"

I felt a tear rolling down my cheeks. "Life without you was difficult. I miss someone I can talk about my problems. Someone I can tell everything that's happening in my life. I miss someone guiding me. I miss a parent. Does Papa's missing me, too? What do you think Ma? Or he's enjoying his life with his new family?"

I chuckled a bit at inabot ang can beer upang uminum. "Drama ko ba tonight, Ma?"

I heard my phone ringing and I reach it above the table beside me. I saw Levi's calling me. I took a deep breath before answering his call.

"Hey." He said softly.

I smiled. "Hey to you, too."

Napatawa siya sa sinabi ko at narinig ko na parang bumangon siya. "Why are you still awake?"

"I'm thinking about Max."

He groaned. "Stop thinking about him."

"I can't. He's my friend."

"Friends don't hug and kiss each other almost naked in the bathroom, Elli."

Natawa ako ng malakas at nilipat ang cellphone sa kaliwang tainga ko. "Coming from someone who ask me to be his friend but kissed and hugged me inside my car that almost end up to fucking each other."

"Touche." He chuckled.

Umiling ako habang naalala ang nangyari kanina sa apartment ni Max.

"What the fuck are you doing here, Levi?" I finally said after being shocked. Grabe namang lalaki 'to, parang kabute.

"I'm the one who's supposed to ask you that, woman. What the fuck are doing here?" His angry eyes travelled through my head to toes then look at Max and to my red lace bra his holding. He gasped and reach for my arm and pulled me towards him.

Sa sobrang lakas ng pagkakahila niya ay muntik pang matumba si Max dahil nakayakap pa ko sa kanya. Nakita ko ang pamumutla ng mukha ni Max. Natatakot siguro 'tong beks na 'to na masuntok ni Levi. Well I wouldn't allow him to do that. Max is my friend now.

"Stop that dirty mind of yours. Were not doing anything. Natapunan ako ng juice kaya ganito ang suot ko at nilalabhan niya ang damit ko."

He rolled his eyes and tightened his hold in my arm. "Not doing anything my ass. Do you think I will buy that?"

"I'm not forcing you to believe me and why am I even explaining to you." It's my time now to rolled my eyes at him. "It's not like I owe you an explanation."

"Tss."

"Paano mo nga pala ako nahanap? At paano ka nakapasok dito?"

"I told you I bend heaven and hell just to find you. And the front door was not locked so I invited myself in after hearing all your laughs inside the bathroom." He looked at Max now who's face is still paled. Nakatingin lang si Max sa floor tiles ng banyo.

"Max." He immediately looked at me after I called him. "Relax. I'm your friend, remember? I will not let him do stupid things to you and I'm keeping your secrets." I winked at him and his face became relax after what I said. Alam ko naman na isa iyon sa mga inaalala niya ngayon. Hindi ko naman sasabihin ang sikreto niya para lang manahimik 'tong lalake na 'to sa tabi ko. Pakialam ko ba sa kanya.
