"Ms. Alcazar, we need to talk."

"Yes Dean Lazaro?"

"I will be honest with you. You're failing two of your major subjects, I'm afraid that if you don't do something about this, we might drop you out to your course."

Laglag ang panga ko sa sinabi ng dean namin. I felt my world crashed for a minute. Matagal ko ng naisip na mangyayari 'to pero 'di ko expect na masakit pa din pala. I want to cry in front of her but I don't want her to see how weak I am.

"What can I do about it Dean?" I asked and prayed that I can fix this.

"I already talked to your professors. One of them want you to do a research about principles of marketing and show actual application of that principle to make promotion strategies to a business that you will choose. He only gave you one week to finished the research. Your other prof in finance will give you special exams, you need to pass it para mahabol mo ang passing grade na need sa subject niya. You will have your special exam two days before the finals, if you fail, you can no longer take the final exam. Ms. Alcazar, I'm sorry but we need to drop you from the course if you can't comply to this."

After akong kausapin ng Dean namin ay nagpunta muna ako sa soccer field at tumambay sa lilim ng isang puno. Sumandal ako sa puno at tinanaw ang soccer field na walang tao.

I've been messing my life big time and I didn't expect that it will end like this. But I can't gave up now. I will try my best to fix this. My Tito Andres and Tita Beatrice will surely get disappointed at me.

I sighed heavily and closed my eyes.

"Are you okay?"

I opened my eyes and saw Levi standing beside me. I just nodded and smiled weakly to him.

Umupo siya sa tabi ko. Ramdam ko ang pagtitig niya sa akin pero tinanaw ko lang ang malawak na soccer field.

"Bakit ka daw ba pinatawag ni Dean Lazaro kanina?"

"I'm failing two of our major subjects. Pwede daw akong matanggal sa course."

"Did they gave you choices to catch up with the failing grades?"

"Yes. They want me to do a research and take special exams."

Ginulo niya ang buhok ko at kinurot ako sa pisngi.

"Don't worry, I'll help you."

I smiled and thanked God for sending me an angel today.

The following day Levi decided to do my research in the library. Siya na naghanap ng mga libro na kakailanganin namin.

"Do you have something in mind na gusto mong business?" He asked while browsing the books about marketing.

I can't help but stare at his serious face. His sharp jaw, thicked eyebrows, expressive eyes and everytime he bite his lower lip kapag may iniintindi siyang terms sa marketing. As if God molded him to spoiled my eyes.

Our eyes met nang hindi ko nasagot ang tanong niya.

"Are you listening Elli?"

Natauhan ako sa kagagahan ko at napaayos ng upo.

"Ahh, oo. Ano.. nag iisip pa kasi ako." Nauutal kong sambit. Sarap minsan lamunin ng lupa.

He grinned at my answer at sumandal siya sa upuan niya. He playfully touched his lower lip. Napalunok ako sa kaba na parang alam niyang kanina ko pa siya tinititigan. Umiwas ako ng tingin at napansin ko ang ibang babae sa library na panay ang tingin sa kanya.

I dramatically rolled my eyes. "Sa ibang lugar na lang tayo gumawa ng research. Ayoko na dito."

"Bakit? Nandito lahat ng kakailanganin natin."
