FORSAKEN EPEE
Because of the bombing, the security team was alerted. There are a lot of guards that surround the vicinity.
My heart is pounding fast and hard. I don't know what's happening. Some of the guards are assisting the guests to a safer place. I saw Miss Lora, Melissa, Joaquin's parents and Archer's family being escorted.
I glanced at Joaquin and he was on guard. His eyes are roaming around. All of a sudden he holds my elbow and guides me to follow where the guards are bringing the guests.
"Go with them. I'll just check what's happening outside." Sumama ang loob ko sa kanyang sinabi.
"No, I will go with you." I said. Nag aalala rin ako sa mga magulang ko. I don't even know where they are.
He looks at me. "Don't be stubborn Aurora." He has this firm voice. Hindi naman ako nagpadaig. I wanna know what's happening.
"This is our house Joaquin, I want to know what the hell is happening." He looked pissed by what I said. What? Totoo naman ha? I have all the rights to go with him besides it's our place.
"Ang tigas ng ulo mo. Hindi ka ba talaga makikinig? Paano 'pag mapahamak ka? We don't know what's happening outside." He said with an irritated voice. Ano ba ang problema niya?
"If you're thinking that I can't handle myself then you're wrong. Lalabas ako sa ayaw at sa gusto mo." Pagkatapos kong magsalita ay nauna na ako. I was supposed to get out of the hall but the guards got in my way. Great.
"You can't leave the hall Miss." Sabi sa akin ng isang tagapagbantay. I looked at Joaquin asking for help.
"No." He said that earned a growl from me. He is pissing me off.
"Let her Joaquin." I heard Anton's voice from my back. Nilingon ko naman siya. "She's with me." Sunod naman niyang imporma sa mga tagapagbantay na hindi pa rin tumitinag mula sa pagkakaharang sa aming daraanan.
"Stop meddling with our business here Farma." Joaquin interrupted. He's really getting on my nerves. Huminga ako ng malalim.
I looked at Joaquin pleadingly. Baka siya lang ang pakikinggan ng mga tagapagbantay na mga 'to.
Finally he spoke. "Let her, she's the daughter of Mr. and Miss Ferlim," Joaquin told the guards but they didn't move a bit.
"His and Her excellency told us not to let anyone go out especially milady. I suggest you follow those people, it's for your safety." The guard spoke with authority. What should I do now? I looked at the two men beside me. Anton just shrugged his shoulders and proceeded to walk towards the group of people that are being assisted to a safer place.
"Let's just go." Joaquin said. I was ought to argue but he cut me off with his dagger look that pierces through my soul making me stop my supposed argument due to a sudden fear brought by his menacing eyes.
While on our way to a safer place, some guards came to assist us. Tumingin ako sa paligid namin at napakaraming tagapag bantay. Napabuntong hininga nalang ako, there won't be a chance for us to escape.
After a while Joaquin spoke in a low voice, for the guards not to hear what he was about to say.
"When we reach the second hall," Joaquin simply pointed to the hallway where we will enter later. "The guards who are looking after us would be lessened. There will be about five to six guards." He continued.
"How sure are you that guards on the second hallway would be lessened?" Tanong ni Anton. Yeah, he's right. Joaquin looks at him flatly.
"There isn't much guard on the second hallway. That's like the center of the palace so guards aren't mostly needed on that part. Mostly there are only three to four roaming around that area, and since something happened and the guests will pass that way, they might add guards but I think they just added one or two. If my calculation is right there should be five to six guards looking after that area." How did he know though? I don't even know about it. I mean, of course I didn't live here so I don't know anything about that, but so is he.
