CHAPTER 33

POTION 

"Ano ang hindi ko dapat malaman?" Tanong ni dad.

"Ah... It's just some girly things. You know your daughter is going through adolescence," mom excused. Dad shook his head and scratched his eyebrow using his thumb.

Mom looked at me and winked. She's always been my partner in crime. "You're early, I thought you wouldn't be able to join us for dinner," mom paused as she emphasized the word "again."

Lumapit siya sa amin at hinalikan ang noo ng aking ina.

"Don't sulk okay, you know there are a lot of things to do." Mom sneered at dad that made the latter laugh as he hugs her tenderly. Dad sat beside mom and he opened up a topic and we just shared stories. I was laughing the whole time, ahh I miss this kind of quality time with them.

The next day, the committee has already chosen the players for the football. I'm excited because I gotta see the boys play. The three of them were chosen.

"Ah, this is so unfair. Magkasama kayo sa isang team tapos mag isa ko lang? And I'm gonna be on the same team with that Leon." Kanina pa nagrereklamo si Archer at sa totoo lang nakaririndi na. Binatukan ko siya at tiningnan ng masama.

"Will you stop complaining? Look, Anton and Joaquin were not even paying attention to your whines anymore." He pouted but he even got annoyed when Harriet sticks her tongue out to provoke him.

We're at the hall eating our lunch. The people are noisy and talking about the sports fest coming. They are all excited, as for me? I don't know, neutral, I guess. Apparently, the sports fest will open tomorrow. Sobrang bilis, akala ko ay sa susunod na linggo pa.

Harriet and Archer are on it again. Hindi na sila nagsawang magbangayan. Anton and Joaquin on the other hand are talking about the strategies they would make, seemingly most of the best players of football are on Hircus.

I was silently eating my food when someone put a slice of meat on my plate. I look at who that person was and it's Joaquin. He winks as our eyes meet and he continues eating, a smile then is plastered on my face.

Anton cleared his throat. "I want some meat too." Pagpaparinig niya pero hindi siya pinansin ni Joaquin. Natawa nalang ako.

"Ah ang unfair," sinabi niya ulit.

"Just shut it Farma and eat," Joaquin said annoyed.

"Do you want some of my meat too?" Archer asked Harriet and just like that five pairs of eyes stared at him. Is this the end of the world? Archer offering his food to Harriet?

"Really?" Harriet is expectant, her eyes even shimmer with glee. I know how she loves lamb meat.

"Asa ka." He said mockingly. Okay, I kind of expected that. Harriet is fuming mad because of what Archer said. Her nose is flaring. She stood up and reached for Archer's hair and pulled it.

"Ouch! Hey, stop. Aray, Harriet." Students started looking at the two of them so I decided to stop them.
