CHAPTER 34

SPORTSFEST 

Today is the day for the opening of the sports fest. The morning event would be the opening ceremony and in the afternoon it would be the fight between the House of Beithir and the House of Hircus.

The four of us decided not to attend the first ceremony. We went to the tent readied for the players of Beithir instead.

Since tomorrow is the fight of our house, Archer is with us. Joaquin and Anton on the other hand are in their tent readying themselves.

We bought them snacks and water. "I bought sliced fruit, how about you Aurora?" Tanong sa akin ni Melissa.

"Uh, I packed some sandwiches," I said reluctantly. While Harriet brought water and juices.

"I don't know why we need to bring them food, they have their foods readied by the committee." Hindi pala namin nasabi sa kanya.

"We'll tell you later," i binulong ko.

We entered the canvas tent for Joaquin and Archer. I don't know why but their tent is separated from the others. There are seven players on their team in total.

They are wearing their uniform designated for the sport. Their kit is in colors black and red.

Their shirt is a mix of black and red where the upper part of it from the neckline to the chest part is colored in black, there's also a snake logo on the right chest part as a symbol of their house.

On the lower part of the shirt is in color red including their shorts and shoes, on the right side of their shorts, there's also a logo embedded.

Ganoon din naman sa iba, magkakaiba nga lang ng kulay. They will be using the colors associated with their gems. I am in gryphon and our gem is sapphire so our players will be using royal blue.

"Here's your food and drink," sabi ko at sabay sabay naming inabot ang mga dala namin sa kanila.

"I brought your favorite fruits Joaquin, I even sliced them." Tinignan lang siya ni Joaquin at tinanguan.

"Uh, do you want for us to leave so that you can at least rest before your play?" Tanong ni Harriet.

"Yeah, you need to rest. We'll just cheer on you," segunda ko naman.

"Having you here is making me well-rested," Joaquin said that made me blush. My whole face heated. He stares at me and his eyes spark with gaiety.

I cleared my throat and moved my eyes away.

"Ahm, it's better if we leave you alone," Melissa said and pulled me out of the tent.

"You could've at least said something, you know that I'm there, so annoying." May sinabi siya pero hindi ko masyadong naintindihan.

"What?" Nilingon ko siya.

"Oh, I said we should leave them to have a rest." She plastered a smile. I thought...nevermind.

Sumunod na lumabas si Harriet at Archer. Nakikita kong nakabusangot na naman ang mukha niya kaya ang akala ko ay mayroon na namang ginawa si Archer.

But I was wrong, as soon as she got near us she talked to Melissa annoyed. "You could've let them have their time at least and didn't pull Aurora away, stop with your insecurities."

Napasinghap is Melissa. Archer and I both look at Harriet wide eyed. I can't believe she said that.

"At least I'm not a brat like you," Melissa countered. This is not good.

"You, btch!" Hihilahin sana ni Harriet ang buhok ni Melissa pero agad siyang napigilan ni Archer.

"Enough, Harriet!" This is the first time Archer raised his voice on Harriet. I was shocked, yes he keeps on teasing her and she keeps on fighting him but Archer's always been nice to her.
