THE WOMAN BEHIND THE DELPHINIUM

I woke up and my head felt heavy. Where am I?

The realization hit me, memories of what happened a while ago gush through me.

I scan the surroundings and I am in an empty room. Joaquin and I were both tied in a chair.

"Joaquin," I whispered to get his attention but he's not responding. "Hey, wake up." Pagtawag ko sa kanya pero wala parin talaga.

Ano na ang gagawin ko? Sino ang may gawa nito? I tried to move my body but I can't. I heard the door open, I automatically looked at who the person was. My eyebrows met because the person is wearing a mask.

She's wearing an all-white dress and it's covering her from neck to toe. The one that caught my attention is the flower of delphinium embroidered on the left chest part of her dress.

"Let me go, why are you doing this?" Matigas kong tanong sa kanya. I moved to nudge Joaquin but I can't.

"Don't worry. I won't do anything wrong with you. I just need to tell you something," Ika niya, base sa kanyang boses ay isa siyang babae.

"If you want to talk to me then why would you abduct me? You could have just approached me. And why isn't he waking up?" She glanced at Joaquin then back at me again.

"Your friend is okay, you don't have to worry. I just made something on him so he will not wake up until we finish talking. It's also fun this way, right? You see, I can't show you my face. Abducting you is the best way, what do you think?" I almost rolled my eyes at what she said. What's fun with this? I thought that it's the end of my life.

"Sino ka ba talaga? Ano ba talaga ang kailangan mo sa akin? Don't go around the bush and just tell me what you want then let us go." I clenched my jaw and my pupils flared. She could've just sent me a letter again.

"Uh ah, It's not that easy, and relax. Hmm, what will I tell you again?" Umakto pa siyang nag iisip. She's composed and annoying but I can't seem to hate her.

"I know questions are bugging your mind," She started. How did she know? Is she some kind of psychic or what?

"Let's start with the Forsaken Epee, shall we?" She caught my attention with what she said.

"What do you know about the Forsaken Epee?" I'm starting to question her personality. Is she one of those people who are left that knows about the organization?

"I know you've been seeking answers Aurora." I wasn't shocked that she knows my name. But the fact that she knows I've been looking for answers, she might be close to me. I remained silent and waited for her next word.

"What forsaken epee really is?" She pulled a chair in front of me and sat there. She crossed her legs and straightened her back. I'm watching every move she's doing. I'm trying to compare it with the people close to me.

"Forsaken Epee was an organization a long time ago. It serves as a forum of the mortal world which is Litasama. Litasama has four cities which are: Asilia, Tahara, Limera, Solima." So the place where I am is called Litasama? I decided to listen to her.

"Forsaken Epee serves as the judiciary system," she started. A judiciary system? If that's the case why does the expression of my parents like that?

"The officials here are the heads of each city. We have one in Solima and Limera, Three in Asilia. When the forsaken epee was gone Tahara decided to close its city. Why? No one knows the reason." I'm just listening and didn't dare to interrupt her.
