CHAPTER 6

DOUBT

After we ate we went to Mrs. Pots' Potions and Elixir Shop. Dito raw kami makakabili ng phials. Pagpasok namin sa loob ay tumambad sa amin ang napakaraming potions. Every shelf is full of phials. There are simple ones that are made of glass. There are also phials that have some crystals, gold and silver carvings. I bet they are expensive.

We only need those simple glass phials though.

"Good afternoon girls, what do you need?" Tanong sa amin ng may katabaang matandang babae.

"She's the owner." Bulong sa akin ni Melissa.

"Good afternoon Mrs. Pots, we need some glass phials." Pagsagot ni Melissa. May kinuha naman siya sa kanyang likuran na box at inilabas nito ang mga glass phials. The phials are in different forms, there are tear drop, diamond, test tube, flask and so on. It has a cover of cork and a silver chain. I chose the tear drop shaped phials and Melissa chose the flask one.

"It's time for you to choose your wand." Nginitian ko naman siya at nagsimula na kaming maglakad. Nasa harap na kami ng bilihan ng mga wand. Pagka pasok namin sa loob ay puro maliit at mahabang box lamang ang laman. Siguro doon nakalagay ang mga wand. I looked at the counter area, the wall of it is made of glass and some magic wand are displayed on it.

Napatalon kami ng sabay ni Melissa dahil bigla na lamang may nagsalita sa aming likuran.

"Ano ang kailangan niyo." Tanong ng isang lalaki, he's not that old. He looks like he's in his thirties.

"We need a magic wand for her." Sabi ni Melissa sabay turo sa akin. Tinitigan ako ng lalake. He told us to wait and he entered a door. After around five minutes lumabas na siya. Pumunta siya sa may counter area and he motioned us to follow him.

"These three are best for you, choose." He told me. Tinitigan ko naman ang tatlong wand at nag iisip kung ano ang pipiliin ko.

They all come in the same design. They are made in woods designed with vines that has small leaves at the bottom. In the middle of it is a small hole. They just vary in colors, one is black, the two are in light brown and dark brown. I chose the dark brown color. We already paid for it and bid our goodbye.

"The hole in your wand is for your house." Naningkit ang aking mga mata.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"If your house is already decided they will give you a small diamond that you'll put in that. The diamond will depend on what house you'll be in."

"So you mean there are diamonds assigned on each house?" Tumango naman siya sa tanong ko.

"By the way, we already bought everything that we need so where do we go next?" Tanong ko ulit kay Melissa.

"Let's have some snack?" Natawa naman ako sa sinabi niya.

"We just finished eating." Sagot ko naman na nagpasimangot sakanaya.

"Let's watch a play." She suggested. "What play?" Napakamot na lang siya sa ulo niya.

"Why are you so clueless, saang lugar ka ba galing?" Napawi naman ang ngiti ko. I really wanna tell her.

"What I mean is that an Opera play." Lumaki naman ang mata ko, they have it here?

"No, Operas are boring," I told her. Napabuntong hininga siya. It's true, whenever we watch some opera with my mom and dad I just end up sleeping. I don't know why they love it.

"Whatever, let's just get some snack then." Natawa naman ako at sumunod nalang.

We are at the ice cream shop already. The ice cream shop is called House of Aerith Mei. I ordered some blueberry cheese ice cream while Melissa ordered charcoal ice cream. The ice cream shop is made of glass that's why we can see those people outside.

Nakatingin lang ako sa labas habang hinihintay ang order namin nang makita ko si Juaquin. Nagmamadali siya at mukhang may tinatakasan. I pinag sawalang bahala ko nalamang ito. Dumating na ang order namin.

We started to eat and oh my god. The ice cream is so good. The flavors literally melts in my mouth. It's not that sweet and creamy. The creaminess and sweetness are perfectly balance.

"This is so good," I told Melissa.

"I know right," She answered and we continue eating.

"I wish we have this in the mortal world," I murmured.

"You were saying?" Melissa asked. Nagulat naman ako. Did I say that out loud?

"I heard you say something about the mortal world." She whispered the last two words.

"I-I'm just wondering if they have like this in the mortal world." Nangunot ang kanyang noo.

"We don't talk about that in here, stop mentioning it," She told me.

Ibinaba niya ang kanyang kutsara at itinuon lahat ng atensyon niya saakin. "Tapatin mo nga ako Aurora, mayroon ka bang hindi sinasabi sa akin."

I was taken aback. Nakatitig lamang ako sa kanya.

"Hey, I know we just met recently, and we still don't trust each other that much. But, if you need something or something's bothering you I'm just here, okay?"

I smiled at what she said. I know she's a genuine person but It's my problem. I don't wanna bother her. Siguro nararamdaman niya na I am keeping a wall between us. Someday I will leave this place and who knows I may not come back. I don't want to be attached.

"Oo naman, I'm here for you too." She gave me her sweetest smile. We still don't know each other that much but she's always on my side. The moment I got here hindi niya ako iniwan. I didn't say anything or ask for her help but she willingly gave it. She's always guiding me and I'm so thankful for that.

Pabalik na kami sa Chimera, mag gagabi na pala. Shades of orange and purple is invading the sky.

"Balik ulit tayo dito. We still have a lot to go to." Tumango tango naman ako sa kanya.

"We need to try all the flavors of their ice cream," Sabi ko sa kanya.

"Next time we'll bring a big bucket and we'll put all the flavors available in there. We may catch a cold but who cares," Pagsang ayon niya.

"That would be fun," Sagot ko naman. Nagkatinginan kami at sabay na natawa. I haven't felt this happy in a long time.

On our way to our dorm nag uusap lang kami ni Melissa. When we're already at the lounge on the west wing there are three girls talking and they are looking at us. No, scratch it more like glaring, at me?

What did I do?
