CHAPTER 42

LETTER

"I like your necklace. Where'd you get that?" Tanong ni Melissa habang nag ka-klase kami.

"Uh, Joaquin gave this," I answered. Hindi ko na siya muling nagsalita at nakinig na lamang sa itinuturo ni professor Fredrick.

I'm wondering if, how can he still teach when he's the one who instructed the man to put the potion on the players' drink?

Sure they're in question but wouldn't they suspend him or what? "Miss Dalton," he called.

Akala ko si Archer ang tinatawag niya ng bigla nalamang lumipad ang aking libro at sumara malapit sa aking mukha. Malakas ang pagkakasara nito na hinangin ang ilang hibla ng aking buhok at nagpagulat sa akin. Pagkatapos ay bumagsak ito sa aking lamesa.

Hindi ko rin alam kung anong meron sa kanilang dalawa. They haven't stop annoying each other but they became a little sweeter.

May mga tao rin na hindi maiwasang pag usapan ang buhay ko. Minsan naririnig ko sila na sinasabing ang gulo raw ng pamilya ko. That, sure we are rich and we hold Asilia but they would never wish to have my life. I shrug it off. Yes, my life is bizarre and is depressing sometimes but there are still happy moments and I would never forget those and would treasure my whole life. And that is something they can't realize, that's why they can say those words.

Tinignan ko si Mr. Fredrick dahil dito. His wand is pointed at me. He doesn't have to do that. I blew the strands of my hair up due to frustration. "I'm asking if what are the materials you need to make a confusing concoction?"

"Uh, we need lovage, sneezewort, and scurvy glass," I answered. Pagkatapos ng sagot ko ay nagsimula ulit siyang magturo.

Why did he ask that by the way? He's teaching charms, not a potion. Nevermind, I wasn't listening so maybe he discussed something related to it.

"Serves you right. He was calling you non stop but you kept on daydreaming about you and Joaquin." Mahina lang ang pagkakasabi niya pero narinig ko ito. Ayoko siyang patulan dahil iniintindi ko siya, ang nararamdaman niya pero nagpantig ang tenga ko sa kanyang sinabi.

I was about to confront her when Archer poke me. Nilingon ko siya ng masama ang tingin. "What?" singhal ko sa kanya.

"Ang init ng ulo mo. And I'm older than you, don't snap at me like that." And now he's pulling the older brother's card. Tinalikuran ko nalang siya pero kinalabit niya ulit ako.

Ngayon mas malumanay ko siyang hinarap. "Yes po, ano po ang kailangan nyo?" sinabi ko ng nakangiti. Imbis na matuwa siya ay inirapan niya ako. What now? I couldn't understand him.

"Do you have an extra pen?" he asked. Hindi katulad kanina, ngayon ay malawak na ang kanyang ngiti. Ako naman ang umirap pero binigay ko rin naman ang hinihingi niya.

Pagkatapos ng klase namin ay kinausap ko si Melissa. "Can we talk?" I asked.

She looked at me reluctantly before she answered, "no, I have things to do." After that she left. Lumapit naman sa akin si Harriet.

"Where's she going? She wouldn't join us for lunch?" she asked, "oh, on second thought I'm glad she won't join us for lunch." Mababakasan mo pa sa boses niya kung gaano siya kasaya na hindi namin makakasama si Melissa sa pagkain.
