CHAPTER 26

DARLING

Days passed by and I'm still clueless. Nothing happened for the past few days.

I spent my weekends rummaging the books in the library but still, I didn't find anything. I'm losing my hope again. I already asked Archer and Melissa about the history of this place but the information they know is also limited. They even got shocked when I mentioned Tulle Road, saying they haven't heard of that before.

I feel like I'm going crazy. A lot is going on and nothing seems to notice it. They are very casual. I'm observing people and it seems like they don't have any problems at all. They are happy and enjoying their life but why can't I?

Why can't I enjoy my stay here? Is it because I'm dwelling too much on the things I shouldn't be involved with?

Wala naman ba talagang kakaibang nangyayari at ako lamang ang nag iisip na mayroon?

Am I overthinking and making things complicated? I don't know anymore, I really don't.

"Boo!" Napatalon ako at napasigaw dahil sa panggugulat sa akin ni Archer.

"Archer, ano ba." Pagalit kong turan at hinampas siya. I heard Anton laughing on the side I looked at him with dagger looks that made him stop.

These two are the partners when it comes to annoying me, us. They grow close to each other as days pass by that we spent with each other.

"Ang lalim naman ng iniisip mo." Hindi ko napigilang umirap dahil sa sinabi niya. Nakaka inis talaga siya. Walang katahimikan ang buhay ko sa tuwing nandirito sila.

Umupo nalang ulit ako at hindi na sila pinansin. "What's your problem?" He asked but I didn't give him any attention.

Ipinatong ko ang kaliwang bahagi ng aking mukha sa lamesa at ginawang unan ang aking mga kamay.

Our class started but my mind is flying somewhere else. I was with them but I remained silent. They didn't try to bother me either, which favors me so much. They might notice how gloomy I am.

They tried to ask but I didn't utter a single word. Should I just forget the things that I'm thinking? Should I put my attention to some other things?

Malapit ng matapos ang araw na wala man lang nangyari. Umuwi rin ako ng hindi na nagpapaalam pa sa kanila.

"Are you okay Aurora?" Dad asked as we were having our dinner. He might have noticed that I am indisposed.

"Yeah you don't look well. What's the problem? Don't you like the food sweetheart?" Segunda naman ni mommy. I was forced to smile just so they won't be worried.

"I am fine po, I'm just tired," I answered. Mom looks at me intently. "Finish your food then take a rest," She added. Dad on the other hand moved and caressed my hair. He looks at me lovingly. It's the first time he did that since I got here.

"Don't stress yourself up, okay?" A small smile appeared on my lips as he said those. Ipinagpatuloy na ulit niya ang kanyang pagkain. My eyes found mom's and she's teary-eyed as she looks at the both of us.

A realization hit me that whatever they are hiding from me they are still my parents, I should just trust them and stop meddling with their business. Maybe it's for my own good that's why they are keeping things from me.

"Mom, dad, is it okay if I'll leave first? I'm really not feeling well," I said and they both look at me.

"Sure sweetheart," Mom said and dad just nodded his head.

"Take a rest." Pahabol pa ni daddy bago ako makalabas ng komedor.

I took a bath and changed into my sleep ware. I'm in front of my vanity mirror and staring at myself while brushing my hair.
