Darkness so wide it seemed boundless. After my senses were taken away, it's the only thing I can see. The evolution process started with my sight darkening until it was lost so I thought I really turn unconscious but I'm actually still awake right now. For long however, I have no idea since my grasp over my mental activities is getting duller and duller with the passing of time.

There's no manual before I started the evolution but I have a feeling that I shouldn't lose consciousness right now. Something bad might happen if I do so as much as possible, I try to make myself awake.

It seemed like I've been in that darkness for hours that I think I can now hear some voice trying to talk to me. T-this is bad. Am I finally about to turn crazy?

Then suddenly, a burst of light welcomes me. The light is not bright but can be said to be rather dim. I only got to realize right now but it seems my sight is back and I'm currently starting at the rocky ceiling of this dungeon. I-is it finished?

I tried moving my wings and it feels weird. Normally, my chest would feel the contractions of muscles whenever I moved them. This time though, it's only on my back. Huge membranous wings appears and covers my body. In that instant, sense of excitement washes over my body and my heart started racing.

Unconsciously, my upper body moves. To describe it in a weird way, my body gets folded into two. The upper body is upright while my lower body is lying down on the floor horizontally. In short, I'm sitting upright.

Compared to previous small legs with overgrown claws, there's a pair of human-like legs about three feet long. It's covered in a combination of black and brown fur and looked more similar to a monster's than a human. My upper body also looked quite similar to a human with clawed hands.

I awkwardly move my hands to my face. The feeling of the triangular shaped head tells me that my face is still similar to that of a bat. I also still have a snout and sharp fangs barely sticking out of my lips.

A sigh escapes my mouth. I look even creepier this time than when I was simply a dungeon bat. If my guess is true, I'll probably reach human form if I ever did evolve once again. I just hope that I won't evolve into a creepy looking creature though. A vampire is fine or something similar to that. I mean, I'm a Vampling now so it should be possible, right?

I groan and open my mouth. It's been months but I'm trying to move the air in my lungs to speak. A loud screech appears instead though. It seems this body is still limited to a bat's voice box.

It seems I have a lot of things to be familiar with this new body of mine but I'll put that aside for now. I proceed to summoning my Status Window. After I evolved, I'm pretty sure a lot of things had changed.

Ohhh! It's just a transition from level twenty to twenty-one but ten points were actually added to my intelligence stat. It's probably the reason why my mana rose a lot. There are actually three new skills added to my skill lists. Two active skills and one passive skill.

According to my gamer knowledge regarding skills, Leech should be used to absorb life or energy from other people. I guess it should be normal for me to have this since there's a vamp in the name of my specie, right?

On the other hand, I have no idea what Twisted Mind does since it's a passive skill. It'll probably activate under certain conditions but that's a topic for later. As for the second active skill called Summon Bats, it should be similar to the skill the Draconian Bat used to transport me and the other bats to its place in order to to turn us into its loyal followers.

There's quite a lot of information to take in but somehow, I feel really excited right now as evidenced by my somewhat heavy breathing. If I had to identify the reason, it's probably because things are becoming more and more game-like.

Alright, I think it's time for me to try out the effects of my new skills. My legs move so I can stand up but just as I was about to stand up properly, my legs are feeling weak all of a sudden . Without grace, my body starts falling into the ground once again. I can't help but groan when my rear collides with the rocky surface.

A sigh escapes my mouth as I stare at the ceiling. My back is aching slightly so I move backwards to lean against the boulders. It seems that before I can go back to the usual habit of grinding my levels, I still have to undergo rehabilitation to get used to my new body.

For the first time in months, I'm finally experiencing the feeling the feeling of being busy, huh? Somehow, I feel a small pool of joy stirring inside my heart
