Scorpion man's gaze looks really scary. Despite the fact that his body is currently being restricted by the immense gravity, he is still able to emit a wild and savage energy. Maine who is standing beside me backs away a few steps, obviously intimidated by the man's demeanor.
I can't help but snort at the guy's attempt to scare us. He might be stronger than me normally but he's currently just a helpless lamb. Just as that thought finished forming inside him, the floor beneath suddenly starts becoming hot. I quickly grab Maine before flying upwards a few meters.
The floor suddenly starts melting and not a few seconds later, it is finally lava. A health bar appears right next to me. Somehow, the heat from before was still too hot and caused some burns on my skin and clothes. I can't help but glare at the culprit for his actions before my mouth opens. Devour Soul!
White mist-like psyche energy starts flowing out of his body. It flies towards my mouth before disappearing inside. The scorpion man screams and tries to fight back, effectively slowing down the psyche energy from leaving him for a few seconds before the speed returns to normal.
A refreshing feeling spreads throughout my head to my body. Not long though, a sharp pain assaults my head. It seems I can't absorb that much. I almost forgot that I actually just absorbed a large amount of psyche energy earlier.
The scorpion man looks too weak to even scream now and he's now left groaning and is now about to fall back to the ground by the gravity. A blade of mana appears before me, its tip pointing towards the scorpion man. Before it can even fly though, the sound of something creaking resounds behind the scorpion man. Suddenly, his tail moves and fires a sharp needle of crimson lava at a speed that my eyes can barely follow.
My heart stops beating for a second as a sense of cold terror washed over me. A barrier of mana quickly appears around me and Make to block the attack. However, it quickly melts into nothing. Before it can hit me, my mouth opens before begin screaming on top of my lungs. "Gravity Up!"
The monolith creatures beneath me suddenly begin to move. The next thing I knew, I'm already falling down at an insane speed. A barrier of mana quickly conjures around me, something packed with most of my current mana. After that, I begin to give another command. "Gravity Down!"
A feeling of weightlessness appears around me and my descent stops. I look up to see the needle of lava which also followed me downwards stop moving. It comes into contact with my barrier though and starts melting it rapidly, albeit a little slower than before. The air around us turns scalding hot so I quickly begin to back away from that spot.
"Increase the gravity to the normal amount," I give an order to my subordinates before I heave a sigh.
The gravity returns to normal and I can finally land on the ground once again. On the other hand, the needle of lava also falls. My vision shifts towards the scorpion man who now looks weak and withered with his eyes looking unfocused at the ground. A raging hate towards him blazes inside me, making my breathing unstable.
With a click of my hand, multiple swords made of mana appears around me before shooting towards the man. The sound of things stabbing reaches my ears as each of the swords pierces the scorpion man's body, turning him into a porcupine. His health bar appears beside him, its contents rapidly decreasing. Just before his health bar's contents manage totally disappear, his eyes move and meets mine.
"T-the prince. H-he will get you!" After saying that, he falls to the ground lifeless.
Huge amount of life energy pours out from his body and flows into mine. In the blink of an eye, the wounds I have sustained from all the previous encounters starts disappearing until they're finally gone. Screens also begin to appear right next to me, informing me I've reached Level Sixty-Seven which means I leveled up six times.
