It's like there's a magnet restricting not only my line of sight but also my movements. No matter how much I try to move, I can look at her as she got more and more beautiful in my eyes. H-how high is her Charm skill's level to be able to do this?

"Aaahhh! What did you do?" Ariella suddenly starts screaming and the world becomes clearer once again.

Huh? What's happening?

The queen's hands are now grabbing her head as her face is contorted in pain. A faint purple smoke seems to be trying to enter her head but a formless energy is blocking it. One term enters my mind as I watch this scene: Twisted Mind, that new skill of mine that I never got to know the use.

Wait, I shouldn't be slacking off here. I quickly fired mana bullets towards her. Unexpectedly, she can still move despite the effects of Twisted Mind. However, it can't be helped that some attacks landed upon her and shaved away her health points. Based on her the screen above her head, it seems she's level twenty-six but it seems that her body is not that strong against attacks.

Soon, the effects of Twisted Mind wore out. As soon as it did, I can suddenly hear the loud beating of my heart. No Good! She's back!

"Block her! Block her!" I sent commands to the five bats to distract her.

My subordinates released screams of complain and fear but because of the effects of my skill, they moved against their will. Ariella who is now enraged raises her hand and swings it. A ray of blue light suddenly appears. It cuts down the five bats, turning them into black smoke as a result.

I quickly conjured a shield made of mana but it broke right after the light ray made of light collided with it. A sharp pain assaults my body. From my chest to my abdomen is a long cut. My health bar appears next to me, showing the red color which is now down to half of its original content. The pain, it's feels like it's burning!

The queen must have been too anxious but she doesn't stop making those rays of condensed mana. If she keeps doing this, she'll end up killing not only me but her subordinates as well. I have to stop her from moving at the very least.

"Charm!" I shouted mentally the name of the skill I just received.

A feeling of warmth appears from my head before it starts moving and then leaves through my eyes. Suddenly, Ariella stops her attacks and falls into a daze. It was only for a second though. She quickly regained her wits before I could even launch an attack. It seems my Charm's level is still too low.

However, she's still somewhat distracted from the attack on her mind. I start moving my mouth as if I'm chewing on a gum and then spit afterwards. A green fluid flies out and lands on her face. Of course it wasn't pleghm but Venom Spit, the only skill  in my repertoire that had reached Max level.

The effects of the Venom Spit visibly starts taking effect. Her movements not only slowed but they also turned stiff. While she experienced all of this, I'm already preparing my next attack.

On my hand, a bright mana bullet started taking shape. When it turned into the normal orblike shape it normally had, I started compressing it even further. Finally, it became so small that it's probably just about the size of a pin's head.

Eh? What's this?

The color of the bullet starts changing color. From blue, it turned into light purple and the air around it seems to be distorted.

[Mana Affinity Level 7 to Level 8]

Uooo! It leveled up! So I actually just needed to do this to level up the skill?

After adding a spinning effect on the now purple mana bullet, I quickly sent it flying towards the enemy. As it flew off, the bullet emitted no sound nor made a commotion in the air. It poked a hole through the queen's forehead and disappeared.

Suddenly, Ariella's health turned to zero. Her health bar then disappeared before her body started plunging into the body of water below.

"Queen Ariella!" "Your Majesty!" Screams from her subordinates rang out but she never responded.

Meanwhile, a sense of fatigue overcomes my body. Ugh! It seems I overdid myself in battle this time. Hmm... What's this? A warm feeling starts spreading from my chest and into the rest of my body, taking away the feeling of weakness that's subduing my will to move.

[Level Up! Level 23 to Level 24]

A level up? Phew! I thought it was something else.

I started sweeping my gaze towards the remaining Drowned Nymphs. With their current level, I don't think they'll be of any help in raising my levels. Whatever! Might as well spare them.

My wings flaps and with great force, it takes me high into the air. I turn my head slightly to look behind. There are still some monsters which put my life in crisis before at the previous floors but I guess I'll spare them. I had enough fights for today.

-----

Almost an hour later, I'm now at the stairs that leads into the next floor. Strangely, it's bright down there. Is there a gathering of glowing mushrooms down there?

I took a deep breath and start moving my feet one step at a time, my mind feeling tranquil all of a sudden as I do so. The bright light washes my body as soon as I start ascending the stairway.

Suddenly, the environment changes. A  stairway that leads into the rocky foot of the mountain is below my feet. At the ceiling, a colossal golden orb was lodged. It emitted rays of light that lit up the whole place and at the same time, it's showing me the huge green forest that spanned for hundreds of kilometers in the distance. At the center of it the forest, an enormous castle built from rocks and woods stood erect magnificently.

T-this place... Have I travelled once again into a different world?

[AUTHOR'S NOTE]

As much as I try to make this book short, I just can't help but writing more and more chapters. I just hope it won't go past a hundred chapters.
