I didn't notice that the pendant was gone with my thoughts preoccupied from my situation but now that I'm all clearheaded, I can't help but look at my chest. The pendant is really gone. Then that means that it's really the thing that is currently in the Orc chieftain's hands.

My eyes turns narrow as I glare at him. One of the Orcs probably noticed my hostile disposition as he gave my cage a few shakes. I quickly look away in panic. If I attract their attention any further, my death will probably come faster.

The cage housing me is moving once again. This time, it was headed to a stack of cages with various monsters like my colleagues, the dungeon bats, and a few other small monsters. It seems that they're really planning on eating the smaller ones first.

Thankfully, my cage was placed at the back with just the right amount of darkness to hide me. With this, I can still view the situation without looking suspicious. My eyes slowly squints right while I was peeking.

An Orc who was in charge of cooking is in the middle of mixing the contents of the cauldron with a large laddle. It must be out of impatience but from time to time, he would sneak glances at the Orc chieftain before he would place the laddle at his mouth to secretly take a few sips before resuming his work.

Somehow, an evil feeling is slowly getting stronger inside my heart and my dark claws are continuously scratching the iron bars of the cage, showing my impatience and eagerness to do something at the same time.

Right after waking up, didn't I get a Venom Spit skill? I wonder what would happen if I mixed it with their food. The only problem is, how long is the skill's shooting range? Well, whatever I do, I'll still end up being eaten anyway but there's no way I'll let myself be eaten without a fight.

"Delicious!" The Orc's low voice shakes my eardrums but despite that, I can barely hear his words.

I sneer before standing right next to the iron bars of my cage. My mouth contracts slowly as I prepare my skill. There's a warm and acidic feeling on my mouth. It must be the poison.

Venom Spit! A glowing globule of bluish spit leaves my mouth just as my human form's voice was finished speaking inside my head.

Right next to me, a small screen with a blue bar appears. It indicates how much mana I have left. Out of my twelve point mana pool, I only have ten points left. So that means that Venom Spit only consumes two mana points per shot, huh? If that's the case, I might as well use them all up.

Venom Spit! Venom Spit! Venom Spit! The globlues of venomous liquid, which should be called poisonous now as it's already mixing with the food, emits a glow each time they leave my mouth. Thanfkully, the lights from the torch somehow was somehow effective in masking their glow. In the middle of shooting them, the skill also levels up twice, something I can only describe as a blessing.

Right as my mana falls down to zero and leaves me with a weakening feeling, the last globule of spit lands on the cauldron and mixes with the contents. On the other hand, the Orc once again lifts the laddle before he takes a sip. I can feel my heart pounding my chest as I watch the scene unfold from the cage with anticipation.

A satisfied smile forms at the Orc's face in the next second. However, something else slowly replaces it as the time passes by. Starting from a confused expression, the Orc's expression changes into a pained one. Right after that, his body starts to wobble before he falls into the ground.

Did he die? Well I guess he didn't. His body was still twitching from time to time and his breathing was still steady. A screen showing a red bar appears right on top of the fallen Orc. It was health bar, a quantified measurement of his lifeforce. It was down by a half but it's not going down any further. Right next to the bar was his level, level eight. However, he's still not moving. Does that mean my poison is more of a paralysis type than a health damaging one?

The Orc's fall attracts the attention of the nearby ones. As the nearest one got closer, he bends his body to check his comrade's condition. His eyes raidiates suspicions but after scanning the place, he found nothing dangerous that could the fallen Orc to suddenly just drop down.

The other orcs also approaches them. One of them even tried to sneakily grab a mouthful of food from the cauldron but with the number of orcs in the place increasing, he receives a reprimand right after doing so.

I let a small grin grow on my face. In the span of a few minutes, my mana has already recovered for quite a bit. My mouth slowly contracts once again before I spit out another globule of venomous spit. This time however, I did not fire it at the cauldron. Instead, the globule makes contact with the butt of the Orc who was still inclining his body while he was in the middle of investigating the matter of his comrade.

Probably from both surprise and pain, his body moves backwards as a reflex and bumps with the cauldron knocking it down as he did so. Gravity pulled down the contents and bathes his body with their scalding temperature.

"Iyaaa!" A strange and loud scream escapes the Orc's mouth. His body stiffens for moment before his body falls down to the floor, creating a loud thump. The Orc was now dead!

[Level Up! Level 4 to 5]

A few of the contents of the cauldron splashes and lands on the other orcs creating a scene of everyone screaming in pain but at the same time, having a hard time moving.

T-this is...

A shrill laugh leaves my mouth as finally, I am unable to stop myself from making a sound. Subconsciously, my brain is directing my feet to jump up and down, and I don't even know if I should stop doing this.

"Silence!" A loud growl shakes the cave as the Orc chieftain finally decides to check the commotion.

While shooting an unsatisfied glare at us with his red-shining eyes, he also places the pendant on his crudely made throne before he makes a move to approach us.

Finally, the verdict has come.
