The discussion about killing me seems to have let them drop their guards. I glance at the Draconian Bat's health. It's still riding yet he's still not making his move. What a crafty fellow!

"Why don't we just kill it? I mean, we won't lose anything if we did," The spearwoman speaks out her mind and approaches me.

As she slowly got nearer and nearer, I can hear the breathing of the Draconian Bar near me turn hurried. It's going to make its move.

The spearwoman finally reaches me and then raises her spear. Her eyes is also showing the same hatred the healer had towards me.

Suddenly, the healer named Willis approaches us and speaks. "Wait. Let me do it. Give me your spear."

"Are you sure? It might look weak but it still is a monster," The spearwoman asks with worry.

Willis merely nods his head. Seeing that she can't change his mind, she sighs and hands her spear towards the healer. Willis takes and awkwardly raises it to the air to imitate a stabbing motion. It seems that he's not used to using weapons like the spear.

A smirk forms at the corner of my mouth. It's time.

The moment Willis raised the spear, the Draconian Bat finally makes its move. Like an outstretched runner band, it snaps towards the two with jaws wide open.

It was too late for the two to react. Since the spearwoman is standing near the Draconian Bat's head, the sharp set of fangs pierces her body first. A health and appears on top of her head and from almost full, it rapidly turns empty.

After confirming that its target is dead, it opens its mouth to throw the spearwoman away. It then starts approaching Willis who is now wearing an expression of terror on his face. The healer's mouth is wide open while his body is stiff from fear.

I know that someone is about to die right inn front of me but seeing his absolutely terrified face, my heart starts racing from delight. It's like the absolute feeling of satisfaction. Wait! I can't call it absolute since there's a part of me that feels dissatisfied.

"Kill him! Tear him apart!" I can hear someone whispering in my head, showing me images of me trying to kill the poor healer.

While my head is still preoccupied with its thoughts, the mouth of the Draconian Bat finally arrives. There's no suspense as it bit the healer's body before throwing it away.

"Willis, Shonna! No!" The warrior guy screams with grief.

Now the I'm paying attention to him, I can see that he's now almost near the Draconian Bat. He probably tried to give aid to his fallen comrades but was too slow to be of any help. His shield and armor look pretty heavy after all.

The warrior's scream attracts the attention of the Draconian Bat. It changes its line of sight towards the man and raises its claws. The warrior quickly raises his shield to block but the strength behind the attack once again throws him away just like it did before. This time though, no one is gonna heal him from his injuries.

"Go to hell, monster!" A large arrow made of lightning forms at the end of the mage's staff.

The light from the attack is so bright that it quickly attracts the Draconian Bat's attention. It's actually showing fear. The blow from before that nearly took its life probably left a trauma.

This is bad. If she kills it then I will have to face off with these humans. Besides, I still have a goal that I want to accomplish. I won't let them get the kill!

A ball of mana starts gathering right outside my mouth. Unlike before, I pushed almost all of my mana into it. A bar showing my current mana reserves and the amount shows that I'm almost about to run out of mana. I quickly avert my eyes away.

After doing the usual spinning of the mana bullet, I finally shoot it at the Draconian Bat. There's a flash of bright light that followed as the lightning arrow also made its move.

My breathing turns hurried as I watch the two attacks land on the boss monster. Like before, I aimed it at the eye since it had no defense whatsoever to any attacks. The lightning arrow on the other hand hits the already scorched back of the monster.

Suddenly, multiple screens appear right in front of me. My claws slowly spreads out as I read the contents. If I was still a human than I'd probably be screaming from joy right now.

[Level Up! Level 5 to Level 6!]

[Level Up!]

[Level Up!]

[Level Up!]

[Level Up!  Level 9 to Level 10!]

I thought that I would level up a few more times but it seems that there's still a limit to how many times I can level up in one go. A comfortable feeling of warmth enters my body and spreads through each corner.

A health and mana bar appears right next to me, informing me that they're back to being full. I raise my head to stare at the remaining adventurers. The mage named Eris is showing an expression of confusion while staring at the empty space before her.

"I didn't level up?" It seems that she's looking at her Status Window. So they can also level up just like me, huh?

It's time to leave this place. Although I took down that Draconian Bat, I was only able to do so because I had these people's help and I also took advantage of the boss monster's situation. If the adventurers all decided to gang up on me, I believe I'll be dead meat as soon as they did so.

It's time to escape! I focus my attention at my body. Phantom Shift! Phantom Shift! I don't know how to activate the skill so the only thing I can do is to move the mana inside my body.

Then it happened. A change starts happening to my body. From my foot to my head, it started turning invisible. Before I knew it, my vision is already different. Everything is dark except for the adventurers a few meters away from me.

The mage is now made up of the colors red and white. The warrior is fully brown from head to foot and the cloaked man is made up of green light. Other than the three, I can see nothing else. The cave, the rocks, and the dim light are all gone. It's as I'm now in a totally different dimension.

I turn my gaze away and flap my wings. The membranous pair takes me into the the air. My flight speed normally is already fast but this time, I can feel myself moving at a speed I never experienced before.

A mana bar appears right next to me. The originally full contents of the bar is now rapidly dropping. I take a deep breath as my gaze pierces past the screen and into the depths of my mind. I can sense it. Something has definitely changed inside me.

[AUTHOR'S NOTE]

Is it crazy time? I swear this is happening pretty often in my books. I just can't help but make the characters feel really bad by putting them in mentally scarring situations. Anyways, thanks for reading guys!
