38: Human Contact

Waking up after a long relaxing sleep especially after undergoing a lot of mental stress is the best. The coldness of the floor transmits its biting feeling into my cheeks and the right portion of my body which are currently lying down without any form of clothing.

I raise my body from the floor before I begin stretching my stiff body. My sleeping position was so bad last night and now I think that my nerves are all jumbled together especially in the neck area. But still, it's really cold in this place, something I really didn't notice when I was still a Vampling with my body covered in fur all over.

Taking the heavy blanket away from the bed, I use it to cover my body. Warmth envelops my body, a really pleasurable feeling. I let out a groan unconsciously before I close my eyes in satisfaction.

Now what should I do today? Continue hunting and level up? I think making new Arcane Crafts suitable for Tier Three creatures like myself is also a good decision.

Oh, about that voice yesterday telling me to stop thinking about why I became an incubus instead of a vampire? What's that? I haven't heard something like that. O-ow! My head hurts. Let's think about something else. How about a change of clothes?

I open a telepathic communication channel between me and Erician before I start speaking. "Clothes."

"Yes, Master!" Erician instantly responds in a respectful voice.

Hmm? Is it just me or is the telepathic communication today clearer than before? Whatever. I'll take advantage of it while I can.

"Bring a set of clothes about your size. Preferably, it should be black in color. Don't forget the shoes and fingerless, okay?" I say to him continuously befote I pause for a bit.

Now, what else? Oh!

I resume speaking. "Also, have the tailor put holes on the upper clothing's back to accommodate my wings."

After that, I closed the telepathic communication channel. Ah, a black set of clothes. Wearing one should make me look more like a Demon Candidate, shouldn't it? I wish they would hurry it up though. Well,  let's set that aside for now. I still haven't checked my new stats because I fainted, err, I decided to sleep yesterday.

I open my Status Window and new information I haven't seen before appears on the screen. But what's this? Some things actually are gone?

Leech and Venom Spit are actually gone. I don't really use Leech since I rarely get injured anymore but Venom Spit had been with me for quite some time already. It's disappointing to see that it's now gone. Did this happen because my new body is not suitable for using them?

Well, the new skill are quite coop though. Mesmerize feels a lot like Charm. There's Morph too which I already have a vague guess of what can it do. However, Psyche Affinity is probably the best skill out of them. With this, I can finally increase the limit set on my Ancestor skill. Is my dream of forming an army of monsters finally about to come true?
