Thought Chaos

Zak had withdrawn when they reached Dezer. The whole situation was too much for his nerves.

Zak's Point of View

There had to be a mistake. How could I deal with Skullivar and his troops? So many questions and none she could answer me. I threw myself into my chair and put Calabrass on the table. I stared out of the window at the miserable desert and then at my hands. If I really had this power spoken of by Ria... I focussed on Sino's signature ice, stretched out my hand and actually froze part of the bookshelf. So it was actually true. But I didn't really feel better. I was afraid that my abilities would hurt the people I loved.

Totally confused, I let myself fall back into the chair...

Ria's Point of View

Maybe I had completely overwhelmed him with it. I'll just give him time to digest the situation and maybe he'll accept it then... Hopefully. But I fully understood him. It certainly wasn't easy to take so much responsibility. Unfortunately, he had to learn and understand this, as much as I was sorry. I went to Cece, who was standing at the helm and looked a bit distressed. I approached her carefully and said quietly, "Cece?"

Cece's Point of View

My heart almost slipped into my pants, but it was just Ria. I knew straight away that she was worried and I actually owed her an apology. "Listen, Ria, I wanted to apologise to you seriously. It wasn't right how I behaved." She put her hand on my shoulder, smiling. "Hey, it's okay. That's just Atlantean instincts." I had to giggle - maybe we could become friends after all.

R: "Do you think Zak can handle the responsibility?"

C: "I can tell you he never gives up. He may be in a hurry and thinks only later, but he's still very loyal."

R: "I just wish Mum could see him. I remember her saying, 'Wow, you're only going to become mischief if you're going to be mischievous all the time.' And now Zak is captain of a ship and the Chosen One... Mum would certainly be proud of him."

C: "You miss her, right?"

R: "Yes, but I think it's much worse that Zak was hardly able to experience her."

C: "She will be glad that you have both found each other, and are together again."

Suddenly, the Chaos stopped. "Caramba, what's going on?" He turned around and grinned at Cece and Ria. "We have achieved our goal... The Pyramids of Dezer." "It's good that Anubis isn't around here anymore. I've never been able to stand him," Cece murmured quietly. Zak also came out and looked at Ria sadly.

They left the Chaos and slowly walked towards the pyramids. "We are very close to the Planetarium, I feel it," Caramba confirmed. The pyramid stood out like a fortress as if it wanted to devour the crew. "I just hope you're right," Ria said, staring at the entrance. But that shouldn't be their only concern. "I have a bad feeling about this."
