It wasn't long before they reached Marituga. Ria looked around. She hadn't been here for 7 years, and everything looked totally different. "Everything okay with you?" asked Cece cautiously as she placed her hand on Ria's shoulder. She quickly swallowed her lump down her throat. "Yes, sure. I'm going to look around a little bit, okay?" Cece nodded slightly and looked pityingly behind. "Wow, I haven't known her for so long, but she's really at the end."
The rest turned into a side street and knocked on Sassafrass's door. "What do you want, again?" she asked, slightly annoyed. "We need your help... It's a poison, or rather, a disease that we need to cure."
Sassafrass pondered, but let her in. The witch opened a book. "What disease?" she asked monotonously. "Fog Fever." Frightened, Sassafrass slammed her book closed. "There is no cure for this disease, I know that very well. I lost my father to Fog Fever... I can't help you." "Please, Sassafrass! We would do everything we could to do that. But if we do nothing, Zak will die!" The old witch sighed and crawled around in a chest. From this, she got some dusty old scrolls. "My ancestors tried to fight back against this disease, and they have actually found a way to heal it. Until recently, I didn't even know that these scriptures existed." Sassafrass gave Cece a parchment scroll. "You have to hurry. You only have 1 lunar cycle to do so. So no longer than 5 days. And no one knows where these ingredients are, let alone if they still exist."
In the Village
Ria had a very concise goal. She reached a small hut on the edge of the lighthouse. She hesitated. She couldn't burst into it after all these years. Ria took all her courage and carefully opened the door. As soon as she had entered the house, she got a shock. It was mostly burned. On the floor, she discovered a small piece of paper:
Dear Ria,
If you should read this letter at all, always remember that we love you. We knew that Sino would bring you valuable experience and had hoped that one day you would come back. We had never doubted that. Even if you were just a found child, we loved you like our own child. You were always something special and now we could go without having to worry about you. Always stay as brave as you have been.
In Love,
Emphrem x Mayra
Ria pressed the note to herself and tears ran down her cheeks. Had she been here, she could have protected her adoptive parents from this disaster. Suddenly, something glittering caught her eye. A piece of brown metal, and she knew immediately who was responsible for this chaos. Suddenly, someone darkened the daylight that fell through the door.
