After Chronos said that, no one said a word, but Ria didn't want to believe it. "No, I don't think so. There has to be a solution as to how we can at least weaken Zak or Skullivar and make them more vulnerable." Chronos pondered for quite a while. "First of all, you would have to find out the source, what this mind control runs on." He just looked into questioning faces. "There are different ways to impose your will on someone. You can do it simply through telepathy, a dark spell, or what I'm afraid of: Somehow Skullivar transferred his negative energy into Zak's body and created a parasite in his brain with the essence." "And how do you get rid of it?" "Well, you would have to kill him for that." Ria stared at Chronos stunned. "I'm not going to murder my brother! There is certainly another way!"
Chronos raised his hands reassuringly. "You didn't let me fully explain! Of course, the person concerned does not have to be killed. You can also get rid of these critters if you expose the person to a fire." "That's not much better! Is there any non-murderous, less dangerous methods?" "You have to upset Skullivar with a deafening sound or you have to get Zak to fight back himself." Chronos faded more and more. "My time is at an end, you will lead the Chosen One back to the light and finally put a stop to Skullivar." Now Chronos was completely gone.
Chuka bent down to Ria. "How do you upset a power-hungry, creepy green glowing skeleton king?" Ria suddenly had an idea and jumped on the Chaos. Without asking, the rest followed her. "Chuka, we will need your help!" "You know the rules, we must not intervene." "You shall not fight either, but only give us backing until Zak has found himself again." Chuka sighed, but then agreed. "Well, we will be there, you have my word." Ria smiled. "I knew I could count on you."
When they had left the Parallel World, Ria headed straight for Beru. "Do you know what we're doing?" asked Cece. "Yes, if I can know exactly what our next step is." "You just said you had a plan." "When I say I have a plan, I usually have 10% of a reasonable, working plan." Cece turned around, shaking her head. "Like brother, like sister," she murmured.
Vajestrella's portal opened and Ria and her friends went to the grand palace library. "We don't have time to read a book." "If we want to weaken Skullivar, then we need a few facts about his kind." Ria pulled out a dictionary from a shelf. "It says the skeletons are sensitive to strong sound and..." Ria stopped because she thought she had misread the page. "What else?" asked Cece impatiently. "...Chocolate."
