The Longed-For Wish

The glow lit up the whole room, so bright that everyone had to shut their eyes. Frightened, Ria tore the amulet off her neck. 

Ce: "What have you done now?" 

R: "I swear it's not my fault this time." 

Ca: "I've seen this glow before..." 

R: "Oh, really? Any other information you withheld from us?" 

Ca: "You have your secrets and I have mine."

Plumes of smoke rose from the amulet, and flew, criss-crossing the room. They took shape, and in front of them, stood a woman-like figure. "Wow..." Calabrass muttered, and Ria looked at him, cheekily and playfully. "Listen to me and look at it this way! There are also things that even I haven't seen, okay?!" 

The crew bowed to the ghost. "Rise up!" As she spoke, she raised her arms up and down. Hesitantly, they got up again. 

"I am the Guardian of Time. I keep space and time in harmony and have been for thousands of years. My name is Narumi. Who is your spokesperson?" Cece pushed Ria in front of her in search of help. Ria swallowed and shrank back. Narumi pointed to the amulet. "So, you are the wearer of the Amulet of Chronos." Ria nodded quickly. "Yes... your..." "Please, call me Narumi." She smiled at Ria. 

N: "I have seen and followed everything you have done, how you have used the powers of the amulet. Do you really realise what kind of power you have in your hands?" 

R: "Ehh... well, not really... I never thought about it." 

N: "You have the power to influence the fabric of space and time." 

R: "And how do I do that?" 

N: "You have to unite all the forces that are in the amulet, and you will be granted a wish." 

R: "Do you mean the wish that Chronos mentioned at the time? I could finally wish us out of the triangle?" 

N: "On the spot... all this would be a thing of the past." 

R: "But how did I do it? I mean, I've been trying to figure it out for years." 

N: "You have lifted your deep-seated resentment of your mother. You have found your inner light of the soul, and that is why I was liberated."

Beaming with joy, Ria turned around. She would finally come home to her dad, after 15 years of waiting and hoping. Cece nodded excitedly at her. "So, your desire is to bring you all home?" Ria wanted to answer, but she was silent. She would only have this one chance to get out of here as quickly as possible. "Ria? What are you waiting for?" asked Calabrass. Narumi also looked at her expectantly. Of course, it was her desire to go home, but her inner self kept her from doing so. She hesitated. "I-..."

Side note: This wasn't in the original version of the book, but I just wanted to put this out there... At the beginning of last chapter, when Ria was talking to Calabrass about his humour, she said to him "I'll knit a jumper!" The original word that came up when I translated this book from @xDark_Ninjax 's original German version to English was sweater, but I'm British, and we say jumper, so I changed it to jumper. 

As well as the spelling of Mum in a few chapters. The original spelling that came up when I translated this book was Mom, which is the American spelling, but, obviously... I'm British, and we spell it Mum, so I changed it to Mum.
