The Prophecy

"Okay! I haven't told you everything..." Ria began slowly. "What's next?" "Chronos saw the future, and together with Calabrass and the amulet, a prophecy was created." Zak understood only the basics. "Well, if the elect is presented with the amulet and Calabrass, they reveal his fate." "And what does that have to do with me?" asked Zak. "The Elect has the power to use the forces of the Seven Seas even without Calabrass." Zak gradually dawned on the situation. "Are you trying to say that...?" Ria nodded. "When you changed, my chain was very bright. I didn't want to tell you until I was sure." Ria handed him the magic stone and Calabrass slowly began to glow. The chain floated and Calabrass was drawn to it, until the Spirit of Chronos appeared.

"Conrad Zachary Storm. You were chosen to destroy Skullivar's rule so that peace reigns again in the Triangle." "But I tried to do that all the time." Chronos looked at Zak seriously. "You have strong potential, and I see a strong-willed warrior who pays every price for his friends, but beware: if you do not control this power, it will destroy you." With that, the spirit disappeared again.

"Well, those are certainly words of encouragement," Zak muttered. Ria put her hand on her little brother's shoulder. "Chronos has chosen you personally, only you can wield Calabrass properly. Skullivar has great power, but only you are able to do something against him." Zak took a step aside. "He must have been wrong, I just can't. I'm not ready for that."

In Netherwhere

Skullivar awoke from his trance. "Chronos's amulet has been activated. The girl has allied herself with Storm." Skullivar clenched his bone hand into a fist. "Bones!" His chief general came to a good chuckle. "Ria has connected with the stone. I feel a great danger coming to us." Bones waved him off. "Pff... she's not dangerous anymore than this annoying jellyfish." Skullivar turned around in a jerky way. "Better not underestimate the two. I'm only too fond of remembering the times Storm got you ready." Bones couldn't say anything more about that. "This girl has a very strong connection to Storm. If they found out who the Chosen One is, then we have no chance against them." Bones didn't really know what his master was talking about. He had never experienced Skullivar in such a rage, and that was supposed to mean something.

Suddenly, Skullivar gasped. In his palace, a star map of Zite was formed and a group of stars stood exactly in a row. Skullivar looked at the sequence of stars and grinned contentedly. "The Chosen One has been found."
