The forest circled them further and further, and even Ria could do nothing. "I'm sorry, I'm not doing anything against her!" she shouted as she walked a few steps back. They were surrounded, and there was no way out. Ria played with her thoughts. 'It was all my fault! Because of me, Zak will die and Skullivar will seize power!' She felt overwhelmed, knelt down and grabbed her head. Her chain began to glow strongly. The trees were rejected by an enormous amount of energy. Shocked and at the same time astonished, her friends stared at Ria. "Wow, what was that?!" Cece helped Ria. "You didn't control your feelings and gave them free rein." "I don't know how..."

They ran back to the Chaos. Clovis's observation troubled Ria. "His blood is turning black, which isn't good at all. Hence the black stripes." Clovis frowned. "What happens when the blood is black?" Ria looked at Clovis seriously. "The disease is spreading faster in the body than we thought. We might have 24 hours left, if things are going well." "What else do we need?" Caramba looked at the list. "We need... the scale of a mermaid..."

The Chaos set course for Vapir and headed straight to the island to which they did not want to re-enter. "Even if they have a pretty appearance, they are very cunning. Hypnosis is their strongest weapon..." "I don't care!" Ria snapped. "It's the only thing we can save my brother with."

All the time, they felt like they were being persecuted. Suddenly Ria stopped, then she made a step backwards and shot at the mermaid. "Almost..." She set out to attack Crogar and Cece. "Crogar, don't look!" "How can Crogar fight with his eyes closed?" Ria shouted to him, "I will lead you! Get out from the bottom right, and hit as hard as you can!" In fact, the Viking managed to fight back.

While the mermaid was distracted, Ria tried to get as close to the body as possible. But the mermaid had shaken off Crogar and turned to Ria. She couldn't look away in time, stopped rigidly and fell under the spell of the beast. "Attack your friends!" "Yes, mistress!" Ria's eyes shimmered in a bright blue and she took to Cece, but Crogar held his sword in between. "How are we supposed to get to the scales now... we can't get past Ria." Caramba was looking for a plan, in vain. "Cece, we have to retreat for the time being, reposition ourselves. We can't do it without a plan!" After much hesitation, Cece finally nodded. "Well, then go!" The mermaid grinned contentedly to get rid of her attackers. "Without their friend with extraordinary power, they have no chance against me!"

On the Chaos

"Zak, what should I do? Your sister has been hypnotised and we're missing only one thing. I know you would stop me, but I'm not giving up," Cece told Zak. Now, she went to the deck. "So, the plan is: Crogar and I will keep Ria at bay until Cece grabs the scales," Caramba explained. "It will never work," Cece said. "Do you have a better idea?"
