While Bones was on his way back to Blazz, the break was over for Zak. "There is one last point that we have to explain to you. The Merger. It's not easy and requires a lot of practice," Julguy said seriously. "But I don't have much time - Bones could show up here at any moment, and then I have to be ready." The Sunbirds looked at each other worriedly. They withdrew briefly for discussion.

S: "He is very young - his achievements are remarkable."

U: "Yes, but he will not be able to fulfil the prophecy if he does not exhaust his power."

C: "We have to prepare him so that he can use all the spells, and then he has to do the rest on his own."

T: "Remember, he's still a kid."

"So, we decided to teach you the Fusion, but... we can't prepare you for a duel with Skullivar." Zak agreed, as he knew there was nothing else left for him. "So, in order to be able to merge Beru and Aeria, for example, it is important that you are able to evoke the two forces at the same time. Summon Beru in one hand." Zak held out his hand and a ball of water formed. "Now, take your other hand and imagine Aeria to lose concentration on Beru." There were small flashes, but for Zak, it was difficult to maintain the force. "Now, bring them together!" Carefully, the two elements touched each other, and there was a purple ball in Zak's hands, which combined water and lightning. But after a short time, the bond dissolved. "This is normal, the connection is difficult to maintain even for experienced magicians." Zak wanted to try again, but suddenly the earth was shaken, and Zak heard gunshot sounds. "I have to go back, immediately!" he shouted. "But you're not ready yet," Chuka replied. "I have to help my friends!" The Sunbirds agreed, and brought Zak back to the Chaos.

There, the battle was already in full swing. Ria was just having a look at Bones when Zak rushed to her aid, and she threw Calabrass at him. "Calabrass! Give me the Eye of Blazz!" Zak wanted to fire, but thought that these attacks were too weak, and therefore tried a Merger. "What is this going to turn out like?" asked Calabrass. "I don't really know myself yet." Zak thought of Blazz and Beru, and his armour mixed Blue-Red. "Fusion! Marine Volcano!" Zak fired and turned back, before he fell exhausted into Ria's arms. But the shot hit its target, and hurled the Demoniac back into the Blazz sea.

When Zak opened his eyes, he looked into the eyes of his friends. "Did we win?" Ria helped Zak up. "Yes, but only because of you. How did you do that?" "Through intensive training with your friends, I have come this far, but I need more practice." The Sunbirds nodded. "Young Storm, you won't need us anymore, you did an excellent job. Very unusual at your age to perform such a strong spell," said Upasa. "Does that mean that's it?" Chuka nodded. "Our work is done. You can now work on yourself alone, and I am sure you will fulfil the prophecy." Zak bowed to Chuka, and Ria hugged Chuka. "I'll miss you, old friend."

They had just left the parallel world behind. "I will really miss them, such impressive creatures," Zak admired. He wanted to rest a bit, when he discovered the open book. He saw blank pages, but when he touched them, something passed through his arm. He quickly closed the book and put it back on the shelf. But he had no idea what dark magic he had just exposed himself to.
