Zak Storm - The Chosen One

The Temptation

Ria collapsed to the floor. Should she listen to Zak or enforce her stubborn head? As she sank into her thoughts, the entire fortress was shaken. Ria lifted her head and stood up. She opened the door and looked left and right, but when she ran off, she collided with Bones. 

B: "You!" 

R: "Yes, me!" 

B: "You cheeky little brat! I will teach you manners!" 

R: "Last time you tried that, it didn't seem to work for you!" 

B: "Arrgh! Grab her!" 

Bones and his skeletons started shooting and Ria skillfully dodged them. Bones came up to her and tried to hit her with his hook. The first time he missed. "Oh!" As well as the second time. "Ah-Ah-Ah!" And his last attempt passed Ria. "Three times, you're out!" she said amused, and then she summoned the power of Sino, and froze Bones. 

Somewhere else in the Fortress 

"Okay, Cece, we got in here! If we find Ria, do you certainly have a plan how we can get out of here?!" Cece swallowed and Caramba took that as a no. "Why do I even ask?" 

Cece just shot down two skeletons, but was pursued by many others. "There's no shame in withdrawing from a fight," Calabrass said. Cece turned to him and shook her head, running and shooting until they had shaken off the skeletons. Then, at a corner, they suddenly collided with Ria. 

C: "Ria?" 

R: "What are you doing here?" 

C: "We wanted to stop you from committing to your stupid idea." 

R: "Obviously, that didn't work quite as well." 

Cece and Ria then remained silent and both went to start. 

Both: "I'm sorry!" 

They grinned and hugged each other. Ria looked at Cece. "I'm so sorry, Ria. You were just asking for understanding and I didn't realise how much you suffered." Ria smiled a little. "I shouldn't have overreacted like that." Caramba became impatient and interrupted the reconciliation. "As much as I love the moment, we can discuss it further later." Ria nodded and they entered the throne room. Ria wanted to go after him, but Cece held her back. 

R: "What are you doing?" 

C: "You can't do that..." 

R: "Why tell me all this today...?" 

C: "We can only win as a team." 

R: "He's standing right there in front of us without any protection and you expect me to just stand around here? Should I get an autograph from my brother's murderer or what?" 

C: "Now, calm down! We can find a solution together." 

Ria would have liked to yell at Cece for it. Skullivar was standing right there - the revenge was within reach. Her head said run, but her mind was Cece's opinion. The temptation was just too great.
