It was still quiet on the Chaos, but Ria still had her hand lying on Zak's. She had not yet given up hope. "Ria, face it, we were too late." With red, crying eyes, she looked poisonously at Cece. "I'm not giving up on him, never!" Then, she looked at Zak. "Please, you're finishing me off." She waited anxiously for a reaction, only a small movement, but he didn't move a muscle. Maybe Cece was right after all and he was lost forever. The magic stone then touched Zak's hand slightly. The spot began to glow, until it spread through his whole body. Terrified, Ria took a step back. "What's going on?" asked Cece. Ria shook her head in disbelief. "I don't know yet, but maybe that's what Sassafrass meant. An act of true pain." Zak's skin gained more and more colour, the black edges disappeared, his hair gained its old shine. He now looked like he always did. Slowly, Zak opened his eyes, which now did not shimmer greyish, but shone again in a sea blue. The only thing left was the scar of the stab wound. Carefully, Zak sat up and stared at his hands, and then at the faces of his friends, who didn't make a sound. Clovis was the first to fall into Zak's arms. "He's back! Our Captain!" "Careful, Clovis!" Zak exclaimed, laughing. Ria looked at her brother with tears, then without another word, she pressed herself against Zak. "I thought I had lost you forever..." Smiling, he returned the hug. "You scared us quite a bit," Cece said, laughing. "Nice to have you again." "What did I miss?" asked Zak. "Oh, a whole lot..." Cece began.

In Vapir

"You incompetent skeletons!" Skullivar, Bones and a small troop of skeletons gathered. "Not only did you not manage to prevent Ria from obtaining the antidote, no, they also managed to save this jellyfish's life!" No one answered. Skullivar straightened up in front of Bones. "If Zak manages to control his power, then I blame you, and you don't want to know the consequences."

On the Chaos

"You have what?" Zak shouted excitedly, but then flinched. The wound on his wrist extremely hurt. "We've already said that: We annoyed Bones a bit and set the Demoniac on fire." Zak shook his head laughing. "Then I'm out of action for a few days, and you have all the fun." "Aye, for me, it wasn't really pleasant to just lie around." "That's probably your way of saying that you're glad Zak is alive," Cece replied. Ria stood by the railing.

Z: "Hey, everything okay?"

R: "Yes, of course, but I was just thinking about my foster parents."

Z: "Cece told me, I'm really sorry."

R: "You would have liked them for sure."

Z: "It's bad to lose someone you love."

R: "I've already lost my parents to Fog Fever, I didn't want to experience that again."

Z: "I am very grateful to you for what you have risked for me, even if you now have nothing at all."

R: "I have you and your crew. That's all I need."
