Revealed Past

Zak swallowed his lump in his throat. "Okay... uhhh... Show me the past..." The ink formed images of Zak lying asleep in his sister's arms, laughing together, and how happy they were at the time. Ria and Zak eagerly followed the events in the book. The next picture showed their mother fighting with Calabrass, but before the two could say anything, the ink formed into new pictures. The wedding and this palace... After that, the book closed on its own. For a few seconds, there was silence. 

Luna then broke the silence with her calm voice. "Do you have answers to your questions?" "No! To be honest, more questions have accumulated than the ones I already had!" cried Zak with a slightly angry undertone. "What does our mother have to do with you?" Luna remained silent and sought help from Sira. "Your mother, Jeira, lived here in the palace." Zak was still confused. "She was our Queen's sister." Terrified, Ria and Zak looked at each other. "Can someone speak clearly here?" Zak poisoned slightly. 

"Well, I think it's time for you to know the truth: Jeira was my sister, and lived here in Vajestrella before she met your father. Jeira fought Bones along with Calabrass-" Zak gave Calabrass the evil eye. "You knew our mother?" Calabrass tried to defend himself. "Yes, I knew her, but I didn't know that both of you were her children, really, I didn't. Jeira never showed me or told me your names. But one day, after her second child was born, she said to me that the Triangle was not safe enough. She therefore asked me for the Eye of Beru. At a certain lunar cycle, which only takes place every 100,000 years, one can leave the Triangle with the Eye of Beru." 

Luna continued. "Your father came into the Triangle through an accident, and then met Jeira. They got married and then they had their children on an island in Beru. As Calabrass said, the portal was opened, and Zak and your mother had already left, and your father tried to grab Ria, but a gust of wind tore Ria's hand loose, and she was left behind. You two have inherited magical powers from Jeira." "Then why do I have completely different memories?" asked Ria. "Probably because your house was very similar to the one outside the Triangle," Luna explained. "You two were born in the Triangle." 

Zak swallowed - this was too much for him, and Ria also needed a few seconds to digest that. "So, that means I never left my home?" Ria then asked, and Luna nodded. The rest of the crew had followed the story excitingly, but were now also shocked. "So it was no coincidence that I ended up here again?" asked Zak. "That means I came back home to free it from Skullivar." Luna also answered this question with a nod. 

"And you!" Zak turned to Calabrass. "You knew about everything! I trusted you! You knew my parents and kept it to yourself! You lied to me!" Zak took Calabrass out of his mount and stared poisonously at him. Calabrass did not defend himself. Zak turned around and stabbed Calabrass in the ground. With tears in his eyes, he stormed out of the palace.
