Two days have gone by faster than I'd like to admit, after Harry's interaction in my room he seemed to disappear and deep down I was quite glad that he didn't come looking for me to bother me like he usually does.

He might have said some sweet things, but a part of me still believes it's all a facade, which makes me feel like all he said was in vain or in the heat of the moment, which honestly wouldn't be a first.

Now I'm in a cab, making my way home. Nothing was said when we were in the private jet, the tension between everyone could almost be seen and touchable.

The cab stops in front of my house and I nearly forget to pay the driver with so much excitement within me. I knock on the door with a large grin on my lips, waiting for someone to open the door for me while my luggage stays on the ground next to me

The door opens in a swift move and Louis widens his eyes at the sight of me, immediately wrapping his arms around me and bringing me to a welcoming hug. "Oh my fuck, I can't believe it's only been five days!"

"You tell me about it, it looked like I was there for a whole month." I tell him, watching as he grabs my luggage and brings it inside while I step into the house as well, closing the door behind me.

"Was it that bad?" He laughs, leaving the luggage at the entry before we both start walking to the living room and my soul does a backflip once I lay my eyes on Hazel.

I take her in my arms, hearing her laughter as I do so. "Italy is beautiful, but Harry drives me crazy." I sigh, kissing Hazel's cheeks before sitting down on the couch while Louis stands in front of me.

"Did he do anything to annoy you?"

"More than once, he also knows about Hazel," I tell him, turning my head to look at Hazel after catching a glimpse of his widened eyes and smiling as Hazel touches my cheek with furrowed eyebrows.

"You're joking right?" He asks, making me look at him once again and chuckling when he shakes his head at my silence, "you have to be joking!"

"I'm not!"

He collapses on the floor dramatically, making me laugh loudly and Hazel squeals before squirming out of my hold to check on Louis.

A knock on the door is heard and I get up to open it, sighing when I realise that I'm still in my work clothes. I feel a lump in my throat when I'm met with agonizingly familiar green eyes.

"Evelyn," He clears his throat, raising his chin in the slightest as if to prove his significance, "I believe I need your presence in the office."

I furrow my eyebrows, my suspicions about his actions yesterday confirming themselves as he coldly stares down at me. "You said I could go home when we landed, and that's what I'm doing."

"I'm aware of what I said, but it seems like we have a small situation going on right now." He tells me and I roll my eyes at his statement, crossing my arms over my chest while the faint sound of laughter is heard from the living room.

"If it's so small, why don't you take care of it? I've spent a few days without my daughter and I want to stay home." I inform him, watching as his glare only seems to intensify as the words leave my lips, but I simply ignore it.

"I'm your boss Evelyn, if I'm telling you to come to the office, you do as I say." He asserts firmly, the only emotion shown by him is irritation and I'm sure I'm not better.

"Aren't you full of surprises?" I hear Louis' voice behind me, watching as he stands there with Hazel in his arms and a scowl on his features.

"And full of shit, too," I mumble under my breath, rolling my eyes before looking at Louis with a small frown, "I'm just going to go, I'll be back soon."

I kiss Hazel's cheek before walking out of my house dreadfully, taking slow steps towards Harry's car. He attempts to open the door for me, but I glare at him before he could and open the door for myself.

Once we're both in the car, he drives away without a single word. I decide to not speak as well, keeping all of my thoughts of either questioning or strangling him to myself.

He doesn't seem to mind it, his attention only on the road ahead of him with one hand on the steering wheel while the other rests over his face, one finger over his lips while the others remain on his chin.

I look out the window to distract myself, a feeling of guilt washing over me for leaving my house so soon. I just want to spend time with Hazel, I thought I'd be able to do it but this asshole just appears in my house and drags me out.

The car stops in front of a well too known building and I immediately step out of the car, not waiting for Harry and walking right in.

I wave at Megan who was sitting behind her desk and she smiles at me before waving back, mouthing what looked like a good luck wish. I look back at Harry who is now walking towards me, the coldness in his stare not once leaving his eyes.

He strides towards the elevator and presses the button, both of us waiting for it side by side. I catch him glancing at me, keeping his eyes on me before the door opens and I raise my eyebrows as he walks into the elevator before I do.

Once we're both inside the elevator he presses the button to the top floor before turning to me. "You're quiet."

"I wonder why." I cross my arms, watching as he looks at the number of the floor we're in and nodding to himself before pushing me against the wall of the lift.

"What the f–"

"You think I called you here for no reason? I don't think you truly know how I work, Evelyn." He seethes, my eyes widening at his display of wrath before turning my head to the side.

"Harry, I–"

"And if I hear you talking inadequately about me again we're going to have some problems, I hear what you say about me and I don't appreciate it." He says strictly but as much as I want to push him away and tell him to fuck off, I can't bring myself to, I feel like I froze in time and all I can see is him. Foolishly so.

His cold green irises focus on me while I stare up at him with furrowed eyebrows and a fastened heartbeat, cursing to myself for not standing up for myself. I should kick him in the balls and never talk to him ever again, but the way he's looking at me confides me it's not necessary.

The danger behind the green shade of his eyes and the slight twitch of his heart shaped lips make my heart flutter helplessly and I nearly stop breathing as his face comes closer to mine.

"Do you understand what I just said, Evelyn?" He inquires as if to prove himself that he's the one in control in this situation and instead of opposing his antics as a normal person would do, I nod, feeling putty in his hands.

"Yes, Harry." I mutter, my voice trembling in the slightest as a content smirk spreads on his lips before he takes a step back just as we reach our floor.

"Good girl."

You could say I'm ✨inspired✨ but I feel like I'll regret it very soon haha, I hope you're enjoying nonetheless and also thank you so much for 25k reads!♡
